Great game!

I sincerely hope the developers make more games like this in the future.

I really like this game. It is more strategic than any other card game I have ever played. The gameplay itself feels more like chess.

Everyone who complains about the monetization doesn't understand how economics work. If you don't like buying cards, don't want to pay to win packs, just don't play constructed, what's the fun in following the meta and copying other's decks anyway?

You can play draft for free forever. More deck building. More fun. No meta decks. No additional payment required.

I didn't realise this game is a full release so I wasn't upset how bad it is. It was okay for an Early Access game.

TL; DR: Rant. Rant. RNG. RNG. RNG. DESYNCH. RNG DESYNCH. Still EA quality.

Long version:

Don't get me wrong I like this game. If you can get a gun, killing others is pretty satisfying. But perfomance wise the game is a bunch of garbage. Looting also has it's issues.

In this game you can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by RNG a lot. Loot is RNG. Circles are RNG. Bombing zones are RNG. Sometimes you get so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you just ALT+F4 (that's a really good feature and it actually works). But RNG can be good and bad at the same time. It works both ways. You can get the best gear in minutes, get all the circles on you, drops, etc.

RNG is part of the game. This won't change. But when these RNG elements combines with the nonexistent optimisation of the game. When you hit people and it only registers on your screen not on server side. When you have a good reaction time and you take cover after the first shotgun shot early game but you die anyways, because you weren't behind cover on your opponent's screen. DESYNCH is the biggest issue of this game. Beacuse of this network issue now even hitting targets and taking cover is RNG. And it is possible to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by all of these in the same match.

I recently read the roadmap of this game for 2018 that's when I got really upset. They are not fixing these issues with their full manpower they even said that "We are continuing our daily work to combat cheaters, improve server stability and further optimize our servers and clients. It is impossible to solve these problems once and for all, but our goal is to continuously improve in this regard. " IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX THESE ISSUES. In my understanding they just gave up on fixing the biggest issue of their game. Instead they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out useless content. That is REALLY upsetting.

I played a lot of DayZ/Arma back in the day, also played H1Z1 and Fortnite. Arma and DayZ had the same desynch problems, H1Z1 got that part right but they were building on the same engine as Planet Side 2, which is capable of supporting thousand of players per map. PUBG uses UE4, which nowadays is really popular game engine. It is a good engine, well optimised, based on C++, can be beautiful, can be simple. You could say that's it's impossible to fix server and client performance because of the engine but this is not the case. Fornite uses the same exact engine and there is no desynch there. ( and no this has nothing to do with how fortnite graphics looks)

I got carried away sorry.

I mostly play FPP I don't experience that many cheaters there. But maybe I am just blind or too bad to recognise them. I am still having fun for the most time but until the main issues of the game are fixed I give it a negative review.
