This is more of a neutral review. I played it through, so it was fun enough. Checkpoints were not too bad in most spots but locked to 60fps. There is a workaround to unlock the framerate but it didn't seem worth the effort.

Great concept, I can't think of anything else like it being a neutral third party changing the outcome of different battles., almost more of a puzzle game than anything else. I'm finding it quite difficult, but am slowly making progress. I doubt I'll finish it, but if you like strategy and puzzles, it might be worth it.

I wish I could give this a neutral review. The mini-games are a bit fun, the story is not great, it was interesting when the narration went over the top of one of the games, but I think that was the only time the storey went into the game.
Why is the menu so slow?
Maybe buy on sale if you want a quick retro style game. I'm giving a positive because I got it in the humble monthly, but would not pay full price for just over an hour of game.

Short but fun game, compared with Hollow Knight, a bit more difficult to navigate, maybe because I didn't spend as long getting to know each area. I think I finished the story in about 7 hours, doing some side quests. A couple more hours at the end to finish a couple more. Probably a few more hours if you wanted to 100% it.

Short game but fun, if you like going for high scores there's probably quite a bit of playtime here. Nice to have new game mechanics and weapons as you move through the game

Closer to Wolfenstein than Doom, but a great experience.
The game has lives, which limited the difficulty I played on as I didn't want to risk running out of them, not really an issue though, there are extra lives in every level, if you can find them.

Quite a fun game. Took me about 10 hours to finish the campaign on second easiest difficulty with finding some of the secrets. I found it a bit repetitive at some points as the formula does not change much, walk down corridors until you find an area, demons spawn in, you kill them and move on.

I would be fun if it didn't crash at the same point during the second mission. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Played on Windows 10.

I played the first one a lot. The second one is just as good, although there are extra mechanics that were not in the first game, makes it a bit more complex.
