Numbers go brrrr

One of the only factory games where I progressed far enough that I was almost at end game - but this was way back in early versions. Don't walk past this one if you love games like Factorio or Satisfactory

It's a farmers life for me

It’s just after midnight in Saigon and I’m sitting up in bed thinking of what to write about this amazing game.
I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to actually play this game. It was on my wishlist for years and it only was recently gifted to me for my birthday by a friend.
Travelling for work, I thought something not to heavy for the laptop should tide me over till I get back home.

I was initially attracted by the 1bit graphic style that I found endearing, but this game is a masterpiece. Everything it set out to achieve, it did with flying colours (no pun intended).

Billed as logic puzzle and game of deduction, I knew I would love this game from within the first 15 mins of play. I was engrossed with the story and could not wait to get back into it every night, to find out what befell the ill-fated Obra Dinn. The scenes convey so much story and the soundtrack fits so well with what is happening.

This is a game that can only be experienced once, so I strongly recommend that you do it without reading spoilers, guides or even some of the other comments below!

Fantastic game that keeps you coming back for more - as others have mentioned, go in to this blind and enjoy the ride. You can only experience it once

Saying that this game is Satisfactory would be implying that it is mediocre - it's not, it is brilliant, considering it is still early access.

You can play as seriously or as casually as you like. This has been my go to game when I want to unwind and enter a zen state. You can't do anything wrong in this game, you can just be inefficient, and in the end, who really cares that you're inefficient?

The game runs smoothly, the landscapes are beautiful, the interface is simply elegant and functional, and I have yet to run into anything that has reminded me that it is still in early access.

Nothing too innovative or exciting, but still the same fun you can expect from an XCOM game. Compared to XCOM 2, feels much easier, but perhaps that is because your soldiers can no longer die - they lead charmed lives and you will fail a mission if any die during it.

The breach mechanic is fun, basically give you a free round to blast away the enemies or use some of the new unique 'breach abilities'.

In terms of challenge, I found it much easier and forgiving compared to the previous titles.

Was enjoying it until the game breaking bug towards the end of the campaign - I'm sure it will be patched soon, but if you get frustrated by bugs (who doesn't?), just wait till it has been patched.

Got it on the 50% discount on release and to be honest, I don't think its worth that much more.

Still recommending it for any XCOM fans, however if you haven't played any of the previous titles, go get XCOM 2

Should have bought stocks in tabletop simulator earlier this year - every game you can think of has already been created as a mod, fantastic community
