I believe that a review for this game is quite long overdue as I did play it earlier this year.

Without spoiling much of the contextual mystery underlying the plot, this story is about the protagonist (an amnesiac) navigating through a mansion and a number of doors, each respectively related to a tragedy of some sort, in an attempt to rekindle their memories. However, my oversimplification of the story does not do it much justice as there is something much more special at work. The unfolding of each door and its tragic layers only intend to unravel the mystery and walk you along its endearing journey. I cannot quite express the feelings I experienced into words, but I would highly recommend this game if you are a fan of mysteries as well as romance. Though there are many themes at play here, the portrayal of self-discovery struck many chords within myself. My heart was deeply touched and I found myself to genuinely feel both despair and hope (simultaneously at times) through this treacherous spiral.

The only flaw or drawback I encountered was the pacing for maybe a door or 2, though this did not deter from the experience as a whole.

One of my favorite VNs and will most likely have a special place in my heart for years to come.

the bad rn: progression, matchmaking, limited content, ui, online only, perks/skill system

the good rn: graphics, stealth, special enemies, overkill

i dont recommend (as of rn) but i do have hope for this game

As every living being is bound to, we are ultimately going to be drifted away by time and will cease to live. Before Your Eyes has an amazing way of portraying such a powerful, albeit rather scary, concept. For such a short experience, it is a great reminder of how important it is to live our lives as ambitiously as possible.

Cherish the life you breathe and hold your loved ones close because life will flash right Before Your Eyes.
