WE DID IT FELLOW HELLDIVERS! Sony has announced they will no longer require PSN linking. Alright, now time to get this game back to the status it really deserves, Overwhelmingly Positive.

--------------
This game was a breath of fresh air. It was the first time in a while that a small company (100 total employees) seemed to come out on top. They managed to nail the gameplay so well, I spent 200 hours in it, in a span of only a few months. It's become my hangout place for me and my friends.

I was willing to put up with the server issues at launch, because it was the shining example of what I wanted out of a game.

Everything is unlock-able through in-game grind, and without micro-transactions. I was even willing to give them additional money, and purchased several super credit packs.

THE DECISION TO FORCE ALL OF THE USERS TO SIGN UP FOR A PLAYSTATION NETWORK ACCOUNT, AFTER NOT REQUIRING IT FOR MONTHS, IS A BACKHANDED SLAP IN THE FACE TO ALL OF THE PRAISE THEY'VE BEEN RECEIVING FOR NOT BOWING TO CORPORATE GREED, AND JUST RELEASING A FUN GAME.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is an exceptional Dungeons and Dragons game that truly captures the essence of playing a tabletop game with friends. The game features multiplayer support, allowing you to form a party with friends and embark on a thrilling adventure together.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Solasta is just how much it feels like the kind of game your dungeon master would run. The crafting system is particularly noteworthy as well, as it's intuitive and well-designed, making it a joy to use (unlike the disaster that is tabletop 5e's crafting). I wish I could take this crafting system and somehow use it in my tabletop games! Additionally, the Unfinished Business mod, created by the modding community, adds even more content to the game, including dozens of homebrew classes and items from various D&D sourcebooks. The release updates to this mod almost daily.

The characters in Solasta have their own personalities, and the alignment and traits you choose for each of them significantly impact how they behave in dialogue. It's refreshing to see that level of depth in a video game, and it makes you feel invested in each character's journey. Depending on the background you pick for your characters, there's unique side quests that become available to help uncover what might have happened in their past. The combat in Solasta is also incredibly engaging, with magic items that balance both martial fighters and spellcasters. The encounters are well-balanced too, allowing different types of characters to shine and contribute to the party's success.

One of the most impressive things about Solasta is the dedication of its fan base. Including the work of the Unfinished Business mod team's. They have made the game work with up to six characters, even in multiplayer mode, which is a remarkable feat given that the game was designed to be played with only four characters. This addition makes the game even more enjoyable and allows you to adventure with even more friends.

In conclusion, Solasta: Crown of the Magister is an exceptional video game that captures the excitement and camaraderie of playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends. With its engaging combat, excellent crafting system, and well-developed characters, Solasta is a must-play game for both D&D veterans and newcomers alike. Thanks to the dedication of the Unfinished Business mod team, the game has only gotten better with time, making it an excellent addition to any tabletop gamer's library.

This game is a must have for anyone who has friends (hopefully that's you).

If you've been looking for that go-to game to hang out with you friends and pass the time, this game is for you. I've played almost 150 hours of this game, and still I feel nowhere close to bored. Every level is random, and every encounter feels different. There's a decent variety of weapons that will likely fit your play styles. Class progression is fast and doesn't feel like a grind.

The style and atmosphere of this game is incredible. The sounds are really satisfying. Visually, it feels like Aliens and Minecraft had a baby.

Since last year, me and my room mates have enjoyed drinking and playing this game together. The last update however, made the game significantly less fun. It was so bad, that we actually put the game down after only fifteen minutes. This is the shortest that we have ever played the game. All in all, the latest update is a very large step backward.

The first of my three biggest complains, is that that knockouts are totally broken. You can't knock people out anymore. If you hear the *crack* sound when you knock someone out, they're back up within a second. This takes all the fun out of watching helplessly as someone clumsily tries to throw you over a railing. It's almost impossible to even throw someone out now in the wrestling ring arena now. The only way we were able to get someone out, was when the game glitched, and the person trying to pick up someone knocked out flew into the air.

The second, is that the climbing mechanics are practically nonexistant. A large portion of the game's appeal to me and my room mates, was trying to grab onto someone climbing a wall, and pulling them off. The new climbing is awful. We used to be able to scale the wall in the train arena to avoid being hit by the train, but you can't even get that high anymore. Even worse, if you try to continue to climb after running out of "climbing stamina", you slide back down the wall. On a similar note, it appears that the grip strength has been reduced as well. This has also been very frustrating.

The third issue, is that the lives no longer appear on screen anymore. It turns out that if you hit the back button, you can see them, but that's extremely inconvenient.

As much as it pains me, I can't recommend this game until the developers have either fixed these issues, or rolled back to the previous version. This really is a great game, and the developers have been on top of updating it and adding new levels. I would still reccomend this game, but I hope that this negative vote is enough to get the attention of the developers.
