100fps on ultra without ai techniques, dlss. really goes to show how lazy other devs have gotten.

-raw performance
-alive world
- frustrating start, no hand-holding but rewarding after becoming more aware, dying and learning.

Stalker 2 is in a mixed place right now plagued by minor bugs that build up and ruin the moment. Some story missions I've done have clear events of "oh ♥♥♥♥" but nothing happens (Bugs out).

The world feels dead. I dont know enough about A-LIFE being my first game but its not there. Walking around all the time like it's dayz with nothing happening.

I guess if you're hardcore stalker you're used to it maybe but shouldnt be an excuse really. If you are it's a yes. If you're new. Better to wait.

Anomalies arent deadly. You can outheal the damage
Where reputation? Some dude at the start of game npc wise said there. I can't tell
Killing mutants apparently had parts you could collect like trophy trade ins?

Another episode of I wish there was a mixed button but if I were to go off the story alone this is how it pans:

You, the strongest thing in Final Fantasy (and some would even say across all games), are thrown into the Deuteragonist role. A secondary character in a story dedicated to the adventure you have. I was sceptical about it but it kinda makes sense. If you actually did it right.

So now the strongest thing in this expansion is Wuk Lamat. Excluding the drama about VA and all that crap. This character is poorly written and fleshed out regardless of growth over the expansion. The main driver is that the individual believes they can achieve peace through resolving everything via boring you with (fetch quests, being secondary, hanging out with them 24/7, listening them to solve problems and forgiving people for serious crimes.)

Here's the most common example I can think of ahead in the story with spoiler tags.
Take Bakool Ja Ja who releases the van bird in trial 1, he gives you a sob story of why he's such a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and then everyone goes from kill this fool to i forgive you bro". Like what? Are we forgiving the potential of secondary assistance to mass genocide now?

Final Fantasy: Recycle Content
Once more we don't innovate and keep to the same working strategy. 10 dungeons, 3 trials, same quests, no dialogue expansions. Innovation is limited to a graphical update. (pssst, did you know gshade existed for many years and did all this?) even the final trial is just FF14 Shadowbringers Normal Shiva cutscene when gaia breaks the glass ceiling to enter the fight and carry us to win!!!. Same grind again.

The Slog Story
Half of this story surrounding the ascension revolves around watching Wuk Lamat grow into a leader. But it's watching a series of luck and unrealistic ideals. Meant to attach you to the character but instead pushes you away because they're so pathetic and the humour is forced. The other characters we love get minimal screen time because you split up 24/7 and its you and wuk and my sanity dying.

The good story ♥♥♥♥ thats short for no reason
The second half is actually interesting, the new faction that comes into play and the realm is so tiny. It's limited to a merging of worlds and one complex of cyberpunk-ish like world. This is way more interesting. Flying bikes? robot warriors? the soul system? give me this! Why is this so short? So we can listen to Wuk Lamat thats why. Thats the budget. Pray for patches. This faction is so interesting. This should've been 3/4's and prefably remove wuk lamat from the party after ascension

I will say the fights, trials dungeons are fun but I don't think they're innovative. They just throw piss orange on the floor. But I guess we've exhausted creativity.

Soken music bangers as always, but cannot carry the other problems in this expansion. Not the best start to a new arc.

Early Access Review
A good concept but concern for:

Tarkov-esk editions with pay for convenience (imo p2w). Possibility release was done on how on fire tarkov was and easy cash injection seen.

If you've played tarkov you see fetch quests returning among. Need to be dynamic. Maybe alright for anyone not familiar with this stuff but I've seen it for 10 years of looter shooter and I need fresh stuff.

Excluding AIs current state, my worse gripe is the dynamic way they respawn. There needs to be no spawn for proximity. AI can simply spawn on top of you when their timer resets I guess (because world persistence) and that's not good.

Movement fluidity - core mechanic not particularly justifiable for early access when it's so necessary. Slow ADS'ing movement, side steps are slow movement, have to stop completely to vault prompt..

Overall the concept will get better I guess, but right now unless you wanna support, keep it to the basic edition and dont follow my dumbass back 8 years ago when i bought EOD on expectations because although this isnt bsg, I have no faith with what I've seen so far

A great solution to play Dragons Dogma 2 until the fixes. A solid 120 outside and 70fps in major cities for ryzen 5800 and 30 nvidia gpus. Bang for buck and future usage for such case scenarios bound to occur with the new triple a standard.

it's like the ign 7/10 average. the combat focus is the make draw here but there needs to be more unique weapon animations to justify it...

over-all good game for a kick there teeth in wind-down

After 1 month, Dragons Dogma 2 is still a chore to play. Among glaring issues from inventory management, poor default controls and STILL 1 month later. THE CPU and over-all game fps makes this the worst exploration game on 2024 market
