It might seem unusual to love a game centered around mental illness, but I’m drawn to games even more unsettling than this. Cry of Fear stands out as a masterclass in purposeful design. The enemy designs, soundscapes, and level layouts are all superb. Despite its limited resources, Cry of Fear excels through sheer vision and creativity, proving that greatness isn’t about budget-it's about imagination and execution.

Map is a bit difficult to navigate, but 100 new weapons and eight new weapon categories is a huge plus.

Extensively rich in content just like the playerbase's opinions on how to play the game properly.

The writing in this game:
"And... oh, I got to tell you, it was garbage. Garbage. Everything, down to the last minute details."
Other than that it's a fun game with small improvements to Borderlands 2. You know, other than the gosh darn WRITING!

Bought the game knowing only that it's a JRPG, but there's also a rich and satisfying time management aspect to it. Story is captivating, soundtrack is full of bangers, characters are likeable and the game also explores Carl Jung's theory of the shadow meaning there's also the unconscious side of some of the characters shown in an epic way. Combat has a lot of depth and on difficulties above normal you really need to know what you're doing. What I love so much about Persona 4 Golden is that you never know what's going to happen, so it's constantly entertaining and engaging.

Out of all Yakuza games where you play as Kiryu, Gaiden has the best combat. You can do juggling combos similar to Lost Judgment and you have gadgets to spice things up. The cherry on top is the coliseum, where you can fight solo or with a team. In the coliseum, you can play as different characters, who have their own movesets and special attacks.

Gaiden has Akame network, where you can get your "substories." While it takes away the surprise of walking into a substory, it keeps them all neatly in one place. Characters in substories can become your allies in the coliseum, which is a smooth way of linking different aspects of the game together.

Gaiden is the first Yakuza game where you can customize your outfit, so get S-S-STYLISH!
