A truly fantastic gem of a game. If you like JRPG / Dark Souls / Elder Scrolls / 3rd person games and haven't come across this before, it's worth checking out!
Like most games these days, the "special thing" about your character sets them off on a great adventure on a land-spanning mission to bring an end to a Dragon that has held the Dukedom the game takes place in under it's sway...and then some!

It has a Dark Souls-esque character creation, but the character class, leveling and combat works very differently. Each class has weapons and techniques you pick, improve and change as you see fit. The classic Warrior / Ranger / Rogue / Mage types are all there. The game allows you to change class as you like - and also your appearence. You have a companion with you, known as a pawn who will aid you in comabt, and they too have a character class and will level up based on a similar experience point system to yours. The pawn you create will be with you unless you dismiss them and you can hire other pawns along the way. These pawns were created by other players and you can meet them either by travelling into a special realm by a "portal stone", - or by simply meeting them in your travels, appearing as NPCs.

Combat is real time and you'll need to watch your stamina level and act accordingly. Some battles you can solo, but pawns will normally auto-engage. The AI does a decent job with them and the random number generation isn't unreasonable.

There's plenty of variation in higher level enemies and minibosses and the rewards of fighting them make it worth the time to engage as you come across them.
As you prepare for the final battle, you'll need to have your stats and skills up to spec, because the game will expect you to be ready, you're not gonna do a low level run here.

It doesn't allow saves at multiple points you can pick and choose to play from, which would have been a nice feature. There is romance in the game, but it is...well, I'll let you find out! Overall, 8.5 / 10

Awesome game and easy to get into. Solid story, mixes fighting with platforming and a great deal of dodging.
A lot of quicktime events, but they don't make the game too easy - some of them give you little time to react, but it enhances rather than detracts from the gameplay.

If you are familiar with the cartoon, a few notable characters make an appearence, but don't really impact the main game. Boss fights vary between easy and very challenging, but you can still complete this game in several hours.

Some tactical thinking is required in certain fights, but expect a lot of button mashing. Combos are built easily, and you can get 100+ hits without significant difficulty on the bosses.

Definitely worth the money.
