My Experience with Project Wingman

First off, I'm an Ace Combat fan. Keep that in mind, this game hits the same nerve. If you don't like arcady jet shooters, this game might not be for you. Anyways, let's get into it.

Campaign
The campaign takes roughly 12h give or take. Might not sound like a lot, but i guess it's solid, considering I went through Ace Combat 7 in about 10h. It contains 21 Missions, each with their Briefing and startscene. There are no cutscenes etc with I think one exception. All the storytelling is done through voicelines and briefings - works for me.

Rouge like endless mode
There is another rouge like arena mode, which seems to be the content after completing the campaign. First missions were nice, although it seems kinda repetetive

Graphics
Graphics are comparable with AC:7, they are good (enough), not top-notch, not bad either.
There are various graphics glitches, especially regarding lava and lightning, although I guess they are going to be ironed out. This is a one-man project afterall.

Sound
The soundtrack is EPIC. Nothing more to say. Go and hear for yourself.

Airplanes and Mission design
Airplanes can be kitted out with up to 3 special weapons (+ standard rockets). Some planes come with AoA and thus allow high-G turns. Flight characteristics differ enough to feel it. I like it.
Airplane selection could be better, but then again there is a plane for everyone in there. Did I mention they have a Harrier?

Mission design is similar to any ace combat: Get a score, escort some ground troops, kill all targets etc. Nothing new, nothing bad. It just works.

Input
Controller and Mouse input are flawless and work.

For Mouse and keyboard I really wish for a sensitivity slider and a freelook button. Seriously, how can you forget that?!

Recap
Would I recommend this game? Absolutely. The story is neatly done and capturing, gameplay is fun. Basically an Ace Combat 8.

But then comes the best part: IT IS ONLY 25$/€!!! Go and get it, for that kind of money you are doing nothing wrong here.

I really hope they come up with some DLCs with a few missions, a side story and some new planes, so I can give them more money lol

Still one of the greatest Racing Games. If you like racing (sim or arcade, since this game supports both groups) you should definitely pick this game up!

+ Great Feeling (Steering, the acceleration just feels right)
+ Has all the best of racing. From musclecars to european racingcars all the way to japanese drifters.
+ Great Graphics, can even be enhanced by Mods
+ Modding support (You can download the Mac-exclusive DLC's or Mods for better particles)
+ Did i mention drifting? Not many games do it as well as GRID (1)
+ Runs smoothly, even on older PC's
________________________________________________________________

- There is a bug, that won't let you choose your resolution, since you GPU is too new for the game to recognise it
- The game sometimes just crashes with no apparent reason. This only happens on very few occasions

Would I recommend this game? YES! It's really good and with it's price at 2.5$ in sales it is really worth it.

Codemaster's DLC policy is VERY greedy. You need to pay almost double, to receive the full game.
Instead of fixing GRID 2, they just throw out a complete new full price game, which (not surprisingly) already has massive DLC's announced.

--> DO NOT BUY THIS GAME OR ANY OTHER GRID THAN GRID 1.
