Sooo basically it's Sci-fi RUST

That's the TLDR of it.

No single player or things like that

Let me start by prefacing that Helldivers II is not my typical kind of game. A friend bought this for me to play in groups with them.

I have found myself liking the game and find it quite interesting for being such a young game. The core gameplay loop is rather common with a simple goal. Go in, do the thing, get out alive. While I get this isn't a great explanation, and people may view otherwise, this is my summary. Yet despite this I find myself enjoying my time playing when it's with friends. Whether it's being shot by the Automaton menace, or the mauling by the Terminid plague, I enjoy it.

Now I understand this game is young, devs are trying to make as many people happy and the game as much fun for everyone as possible. Snoy had done their due and gotten hit hard when the taxman came to collect his due. So this game is about middle. Despite this I still believe that one should pick the game up on steam when and if possible. It's qite a good game for its cost, and with updates rather regularly, mixed with devs talking with the community and engaging makes the culture in the game that much better. It's a bit turbulent at the time of writing this review. People aren't sure what the future is going to hold for Unified Democracy, and they're scared. We just need to give the devs input and give them information so they can tweak and fix things as they come up.

How is this game even still alive? XD

Pretty okay. Has good benefits has some bad hiccups. Overall a decent mild horror survival themed game. Decent story, nothing to write home about.

A very good game that allows you to explore a more hopeful outlook in a game where nearly all hope is lost. A massive creature and a group of people destined to be together. One helping the other to survive in this new land.

I would greatly suggest this game if anyone looking enjoys resource management games. City sims, and even just story alone. Despite this being a VERY early game it has so much potential.

Pros:
- Amazing art style and animation.
- Greatly worked out resource management already implemented.
- A simple but important intro story with easy to follow tutorial.
- Creates a desire to be kind and yet expand with restraint in said game.
- Choices MATTER!

Now, the Cons are generally just QOL things that I personally would like to see implemented in the future.

Cons:

- No building sizes shown. ( you have to memorize them to plan out. )
- Events not shown in Onbu view.

I mean it's pretty good, not really anything too exotic or in depth but provides about a good hour and 15 minutes or so of gameplay. sadly you can't give a "meh" option as it's not bad but not great. None the less very nicely done for art and graphics. Just lacks in long term gameplay

Let me start by saying I'm just thoroughly disappointed.
I only played 32 hours and it's pretty unimpressive. Janky, slow, and horrible. I mean I've played some rough stuff before but it's just so bad. I found myself having the game crash, the lag... Oh the incredible lag... I have a 1660 GPU and a Ryzen 5... tell me how my game should be lagging unless it was so poorly designed and programmed... Just... My god it's so bad...

The worst part is I've seen far too many people with many MANY more hours than me and with more valid opinions even say the game has gone to absolute shight... Just... How bad does a game need to be in order to push away some of the longest play time people in the community

A game that makes you think mixed with a bit of survival. Good solo playing along with some great multiplayer abilities.

This is and will be a good game for anyone who enjoys both the sci-fy and adventure genres of the gaming industry. As well as the exploration aspect, the game's arcade stragety gives it one of the better appeals than some of the newer games comming out. The only downside is that some of the achievements do not actually seem to work properly and for what reason I myself am not sure.

A pretty well rounded game thus far. The game sports a decent store and a multitude of quests and such that make the game a bit more enduring than many others out there. I personally feel that if Avorion recieved the love and care that it's been then the game will just only get better and grow into a wonderful game to own.
