Okay here my 2ct, because the reviews are now kinda balanced out.

I wanna talk about the (mostly technical) problems first:
* No keyboard+mouse icons. I would recommend to play with a controller anyway as for any soulslike. There may be a mod already to fix that.
* Some people have framerate problems, even on higher end hw. This kinda seems to be a hit or miss and can be fixed by setting the graphic settings down a bit. I have a 5 year old cpu and get solid 60fps throughout the levels (the rain level had some frame drops outside though).
* You notice that the port wasn't very polished. They probably didn't have much time, but still a ♥♥♥♥ port.

The game itself is great.
If you played the first one:
Quite a few qol and general gameplay improvements. Living weapon is back as a new thing, you can do jojo attacks and you have cool new weapon types (the old weapon types are still there). Does mostly everyone right that the first one did with some improvements.

If you're new to Nioh:
You could call it souls-like, but it's not just another copy paste. Combat is pretty different, you have a interesting fake history story that you understand without looking up VaatiVidya and there is always that keeps you interested. It's not really open world, but rather mission-based open world. Each (main) mission is as big as a dark souls region, so you have a large area and as a result have faster loading times.
The combat itself can be pretty cheesy with absurd builds that stunlock enemies to the ground or just completely disable everyone. Meanwhile enemies can do the same to you, so it seems kinda unfair at times.

So in all I would recommend it, with caution. If you don't have a controller you're basically out of luck and you may need to tweak with some graphic settings. Behind all that is a pretty solid game in which you can put too many hours
