There is a major learning curve to play System Shock. Yes, even the enhanced edition. I played with a guide and breezed through the game. All achievements in under 12 hours of gameplay. Without a guide you're looking at over double that playtime. I'd recommend playing the game however you feel comfortable. Just don't torture yourself if you want to experience this classic. You may consider it cheating. Well, this "Enhanced" port changes so much already why split hairs? There is so much to love here.
