I enjoy the game. I really do, but it's extremely hard for me to give it a recommnedation, even if its discounted heavily. It's not because of the broken AI (not stupid, they're literally broken), laughable model placement mistakes (floating cars, floating debris, clipping scenery, disappearing objects when you go near, etc), broken mechanics (Drones will hunt you across the map instantly if you ever ride a bike even if nobody sees you, when hiding in bins or protable toilets in yellow zones, enemies can actually still see you and will even try to kill you by shooting and throwing bombs but they can never hurt you and your wanted cooldown will still go down. It's pretty funny actually) or that the gameplay can be repetitive (thought personally, i don't find this to be a problem since I'm actually enjoying it).

The reason why I cannot in good faith give this a recommendation, again even if its heavily discounted, is because the game has the potential to literally ruin your computer physically. After beating halfway through Holloway (in terms of main missions), the game will HARD CRASH randomly during your playthrough from hencepoint onwards (sound will still continue to play as normal). It doesn't matter if you reinstalled the game, if you try to modify game files to make it more stable or have the latest updated version of the game. The game will crash on you so hard that it literally freezes your entire computer and your only option (unless you have a fast CPU and W10, which then you can try to "log out of user" thereby forcing the pc to do a "soft reset" by forcibly turning everything running off when it exits your Window user account) is to restart the computer.

Trying to turn just the .exe of the game alone either via task manager or right clicking to close via the task bar hardly helps. Sometimes it does turn homefront off after repeated tries, but overall doing either a full reset or as mentioned with signing out of your Window account is significantly faster and helps.

Literally I am losing files and getting system error messages (twice i even had to do a window restore because the game somehow destroyed/corrupted some important files) because of these sudden serious freeze to the whole PC because of the game. Seeing how this is very likely the final patch version of the game, i suggest you avoid this game unless you are willing to bear with the hard freezes, nevermind the glitchiness of the game itself.

Disappointing really. One of the most broken games I have ever played thus far. And what makes it worse is that I actually personally find the game enjoyable despite it glitches and understandably repetitive gameaplay.

My rig loadout is on my profile if you need reference on my rig capabilities. Also another note is that if you're using RGB products such as keyboards (Corsair K70. Apex M800), mousepads (Razer firefly, Apex MM880) and mice (Rival 700, Razer Mamba new, Sensei Wireless, M65 Pro RGB) the game WILL freeze your lighting (another indication that the game has some serious software issue). Headsets RGB doesn't seem to be affected by it for some reason, same goes for any RGB lighting for your case such as RGB fans and NZXT Hue+.


I'm not sure if the issue is because of Nvidia cards since I'm running 2 1070 (i tried running the game with and without SLI, problem still persists), so i can't say the same for AMD users. Nevertheless take it a cautionary note

I'm seriously. It's one of the best RPG you can find out there. They took everything that was wrong (not that there were many to begin with anyway) with Witcher 1 and Witcher 2 and made this amazing beauty that is Witcher 3. Also its DLC are easily full blown games in their own right.

lol so after some years, i finally gotten a new computer and wanted to replay it. guess what, game wouldn't launch. Great stuff Rockstar. Explains why the reviews went from very Positive from when i last checked couple of years ago to Mixed (and falling).

I'm not going to bother my self with troublesome work around for you. This is something you, as a product creator, should fix for us the consumers.


edit: Just when it couldn't get any worse with their disgusting view on their fans as nothing than cash cows to be milked to the literal last cent (because if you "take the last cent, people will be suspicious" apparently).

They killed off mods. wow.

Game isn't bad. But it isn't good either. It's just eh. Grab it when its on sale. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it even if you're an xcom fan.

Major gripe i have with it is that gameplay feels very repetitive.

I'll be honest here. Despite having an already positive bias for this series (enjoyed both the games and the books. 2034 was actually the inspiration for me to learn Russian :V. Still rusty), I'll say that I do not think its worth to buy this and Last Light Redux (especially so) at full price for players who already played the non-Redux edition of these two games. Mostly because the changes aren't that big aside from the visuals (2033 is especially noticablily better and more stable compared to 2033). I'd suggest to buy this game at any price above 50% for players who have played the previous games. If you have the means and don't mind supporting the developers by paying the 50% price tag for both (like i did), then by all means get it, its a terrific experience.

Having said that, I do understand that revamping these two games isn't free and people need to feed their families and whatnot. I'm just saying that for those of us players who are tight on their budget but are very keen on playing the redux editions, just wait until there's a 66% or so sales. It's worth every penny.

Now to my personal opinion on Metro 2033 Redux.

The changes is impressive. Downright amazing to even the tiny changes they did. I won't spoil anything, but people who played the original 2033 will definately notice all these tiny changes and appericiate that. Visuals aside, I can tell alot of passion and effort went into creating 2033 Redux. It's from all these tiny changes and "secrets" that you can tell people enjoy doing the things they did. Here's to one certainly hoping to more games based on the Metro universe

In the grimdarkness of Warhammer, there is only war.

Imagine Doom and Duke Nukem had a baby. What'd you get? Lets see:

- Horde of enemies
- Wide variety of enemies
- Upgrades!
- Tons of weapons
- Glorious graphics
- Flexible open-ish maps to navigate
- Foul mouthed and witty protagonist
- Witty and humorous scriptwriting
- Loads of easter eggs
- Cheeky characters
- Leveling up system

You get Shadow Warrior (2013). Get the first one if you haven't already. The game is amazing. Runs pretty well I might add, although there's some mouse stuttering issue sometimes. Nothing major though.

'Paper please!' is a testiment to the capabilities of indie developers out there. Never mind the likes of games such as Bastion, Binding of Isaac, Undertale, Prison Architect and This War of Mine. Each with a point where they stood out the most. From the philosophical Talos Principle to the beautiful Transistor to the fantastic Dust: An Elysian Tail, one aspect all of these games had in common in comparison to 'Paper please!' is that they are all more complex games by design. And yet, 'Paper please!' wowed the world with this simple but effectively complex system of border duty (how they could think to make such a mundane and boring job a fun gameplay concept is anyone's guess). I believe the game is intentionally designed to be rather dull with a sense of oppressiveness to flex its storytelling capabilities (more on that below). Truly, an oxymoron in the sense that it is truly simplistically complex.

What surprised me even more was the curious story occuring around subtly. From seemingly framed criminals to helpless refugees with forged documents to a man wanting to immigrate to stay with his family to people wanting to enter the country for its revolutionary medical scene but lack the appropriate paperwork because it was lost/taken away, all these points to real and serious moral dilemmas that resonates with people in reality. Factor in the fact that you have a family to care for and a duty to serve your country, would you make the "morally right" decision all the time at the cost of your loved ones well-being and risk endangering your country or would you just stick to the system and make your choice based on what you are told/taught to do? What is the "right amount" of balance between making these kind of choices?

You aren't wrong for following rules and regulations after all. And you could also argue against say, allowing a man in without proper paperwork because he could be a criminal or that by allowing him in without proper procedure is to condemn him to further hardship since if he was ever caught he would have to bear consquences. But it is exactly this sort of balancing between rationality and morality that makes us human, that we can have sympathy and empathy for peopl but also to question the extent and how much sacrifice we are willing to take before we sacrifice our conscience in order to get by? The narrative and design of the game reminds me very much of amazing pieces of literature and movies such as The Pianist , Bridge of Spies , Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy , The Book of Daniel by EL Doctorow, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Brutus's Dilemna by William Shakespear and Prisoner's Dilemma: John von Neumann,Game Theory, and the Puzzle of the Bomb by William Poundstone just to name a few.


Be warned though, this game is not for everyone. I can understand why people would find the gameplay boring at first sight or genuinely boring. So if you don't mind being very meticulous, careful and essentially doing the "same thing" all the time, I strongly commend you to pick up this marvelous piece of interactive media. If you're doubtful, give it a shot. If you're not into it, you could always get a refund provided that you played for less than 2 hours (which is more than enough time to consider whether if you enjoyed the game).


The one thing that strikes closer to home was the dilemma of buying a present for your child on his birthday. The dilemma of using what little savings you have for rainy later (or even worse, at the cost of daily neccessities) over buying a present for your child that would undoubtly shine some light into a bleak existence kills me because of how relatable it is to me during my younger days as a child and to every parent out there barely making ends meet. Few games could evoke such emotions and compelling narrative without actually saying much.

Overkill would charge 9.99$ for this.

New additions are always welcomed. While some people people will say "eh mods adds better stuff", I believe that if you've already own the season pass, nothing much to complain because this just adds variety to an already impressive variety of stuff thanks to modders. While I agree that the customization options the mod gives are most certainly nicer from a personal standpoint, it's not the only thing that the DLC adds. Again, regardless if mods does a better job or not, its always nice to have both to add more flavor to the game.

HOWEVER. I will question the value of RM24.00 ($9.99) of this DLC. Is it worth the full asking price? Personally I think with the content avaliable, RM12.00 ($4-5.99) would've been more appropriate. So there you have it. If you already own the season pass, there's nothing much to complain since it adds customization variety, weapons, missions and a cosmetic upgrade on the ship. If are planning on purchasing it on its own, I'd suggest you wait for sales because the asking price is too expensive for the amount of content.
