77 hours in, and I have barely scratched the surface of this immense colony builder. As a programmer, this game hits home hard—designing blueprints, micromanaging resources, and watching for bottlenecks and potential faults genuinely feels like visual programming. Even at the surface level (where I am right now), it is unimaginably deep and vast.

I’ll be back at the 1,000-hour mark to praise the game in a more informed manner.

Kudos to the dev team—I have no idea how you pulled this off. It is I.N.S.A.N.E.

Torchless is where it’s at

Better than fsr in some games

Everybody knows how insanely off the class balance is in voh but it is not the reason I’m giving this a negative review.

While the game is fun, I dislike how they managed to gradually ruin my main class, the Druid. All the meaningful interactions that in the past made Druid the best class to tinker with are now gone, most are broken beyond repair after so many failed attempts to “fix” things. Somehow this had become the norm and no matter how many feedback given season after season nothing has happened for the better. Right now the common question is “does this really work as the tooltips say” and the answer is usually “no”. It has also became the norm for the game to promote boring, one button smashing broken setup as fotm. Long gone the days when D4 was all about finding fun, unique and interesting interaction.

I finished Ori on Game Pass once, and now I’m on my second playthrough on Steam. I have to say, Ori has always been my favorite in the genre (both Blind Forest and this one). It’s one of those games where you can tell the studio really loved and put a lot of thought into crafting it. The visuals are absolutely stunning, the gameplay loop is satisfying and always keeps you on edge, and the touching story is the cherry on top. It is truly a beautiful game inside and out.

If you’re wondering, it also runs excellently on the Steam Deck.

Edit: Just completed it for the 2nd time and I still think it is a masterpiece.

Enjoying it so far. Good game though not w/o flaws: map is horrid, hit box is a hit or miss, performance could use some optimization.
Not a textbook souslike but can't help noticing the similarity (meaning it is a soulslike at its core and whoever says otherwise better stop taking glue).

The new survival mode is a game changer, with some mods on top if you can.
