It does deserve Summer 23 award for the soundtrack. Best of the year.

The whole system for the game is designed around MTX, specifically: use XP boost for painfully slow progression (first season has nothing interesting anyway...), use challenge swaps to get non-gametype specific ones to progress faster because gametypes can't be chosen. Your color is probably a separate purchase anyway.

Core halo gameplay is good, but it isn't Halo. It's Halo's cannibalized corpse.
