Community needs better policing and the Octane still, for some reason, 4 years later, reigns supreme in the competitive circuit. If you're casual and looking for fun solo or with friends this game will have you roaring in triumph with every goal, if you're more competitive be prepared for an unruly community and a single, broken vehicle dominating every match.

2022 edit; Octane still absolutely reigns supreme and the community is not afraid to admit that it's the meta. Epic has made it clear there will be no balancing for competitive types like myself and we're just forced to suck it up and deal with a vehicle that's staggeringly better than the rest. Ranked queues often times are a total joke, the community is so unbelievably negative with nearly zero repercussion for bad behavior, which is a shame because the game is nearly mechanically flawless. Sad to see the game losing relevancy but it's not without warrant. Recommended, but proceed with caution.

Still good despite losing relevancy lately. Lots of kinks worked out in the last 6 months, definitely worth the asking price as is. 8/10

Honestly don't bother at this point. Reinstalled after new map released and I've gotten 40+ players banned, the cheating is so out of control to the point of absolute absurdity. Matchmaking is totally off the rails, any new players that even make a single attempt will instantly be turned off. We were promised a region lock and all I'm ever killed by are players like XIANWUILONG or some other garbage like YLJ081zUk. We're expected to police this game for the developers and that's just not good enough. The Chinese and the Koreans have totally eaten this game alive and with modern VPN's anyone can play anywhere at anytime. This game has so much potential and in a more perfect world it would shine as a fantastic battle royale. At its core the gunplay is rock solid, very mechanically sound, and almost bug free at this point, it's such a shame to see it all squandered because some people just hate happiness and are so insecure with themselves they need to cheat just to get a shred of joy in their pitiful lives. The fact the developers are still charging a cool thirty bux to play this nip cheater ridden wasteland is almost criminal at this point. Either fix it or remove it from the store page, because this is well past the point of ridiculousness.
