Early Access Review
Unless you're looking for a new part-time job that pretends to be centered around relaxation and wholesome human interaction, this game is absolutely not worth your time or investment.

If you're being drawn toward this game or have stuck around for awhile because you yearn for positive human interaction, love seeing the amazing and creative stuff folks get up to and/or appreciate simple beauty? Literally better anywhere else. The only thing Sky has in that regard that most other places don't is how they further botch it up with broken mechanics that regularly generate resentment between players, a limited communication system that makes it hard for the average person to gauge the line between attempted interaction and harassment, and an extra broken instance system that regularly separates players and displays things differently to players in the same instance.

Company leadership appears completely detached from the bulk of their player base as they continuously remove or negatively impact game aspects players enjoy. The few QoL features sprinkled in between just cannot make up for how broken and frustrating this game is overall. Official communication boils down to almost entirely fluff/marketing pieces. And while their patch notes and hotfix announcements have improved a little as of late, still leaves a ton to be desired; especially when they pull sketch ♥♥♥♥ like how unpopular changes seem to magically not make it into them (or get hidden behind an additional link, while neutral or positive changes are included upfront in the original announcement[/i). The bulk of official announcements, and the ability to report game bugs and receive official support are also almost entirely routed through their Discord server.
The only "end game" content boils down to dress up (largely made up of extremely overpriced IAPs and a sizable chunk of past cosmetics that were only available during past events and will never return), grinding for currency to buy non-IAP cosmetics (changes are frequently made that make this harder), OOB exploration (occasionally nerfed and otherwise limited), and socializing (limited to up to 8-players at a time — if you hadn't friended each other you will not be able to re-join one another when the game separates you at random — wonky chat filters that are inconsistent and further make attempting to communicate in-game unnecessarily frustrating).

Zero accessibility features, massive amounts of flashing lights that cannot be disabled, audio controls that only give you the option to turn all of something off or deal with unwanted/excess noise (exceptions being two private locations available in game, but even those can glitch and merge you with other players, or pausing the connection on your device to get a solo instance), and menu language localization that are often bad/don't make sense.

The limited UI and generally unintuitive gameplay forces players to rely on third party resources for information on how to play and to coordinate multiplayer aspects of the game. Something likely a lot of folks are used to from much, much more complicated games. This game isn't close to being complicated enough it should need them.

This certainly doesn't cover everything and I don't doubt for a second there's worse to come.

Absolutely do not recommend.

A fun little time killer. Even if you've got your typing and 10-key down, some of the movements will still challenge you.

Have you ever wanted to go inside one of the Nickelodeon cartoon shorts from the 80's?

A beautiful and charming adventure that encompasses a perspective of naivety and leaves you in a tranquile state.

If you like butts, as well as humor and style along Flight of the Concords and the Mighty Boosh, with inspirations from Ren and Stimpy (but all age appropriate), you'll love this!

The song is catchy and fun, the experience a favorite amongst my housemates and visiting friends, and my go to for introducing people to VR. I continue to see something new every time I or someone else runs through it. An all around highly recommended experience.
