Early Access Review
Very relaxing and chill. There isn't a lot of gameplay yet, but it is early access and I'm excited for what this can be in the future.

I'm a Marvel dork and I love turn-based tactical games. The game is approachable and far less "crunchy" than X-Com. There is nothing wrong with X-Com, but by removing most of the movement you get into the action quicker. You feel like a super hero, with each character feeling unique and thematically appropriate for their powers.

The downtime stuff (exploring the grounds in particular) is slow. But I still enjoy it on the whole.

My daughter played this shared through my library, which is why the playtime isn't on my account, but I'll be playing through it directly myself as well.

It is interesting seeing how the series changed and evolved over the years.

The original PS1 game was legitimately a horror game, despite the really cheesy voice acting. Later the game seemed over the top, being chased and pursued, a lot more action and less ominous dread.

VII and Village represent the high points of merging the things that have worked across the series over the years.

I loved all the Apogee platformers back in the day and I'm glad to see them come back with new levels and a level editor.

When are we getting Commander Keen and Duke Nukem?

I hate that I didn't make this game. This game is so in my wheel-house that I'm jealous I never got off my ass and made a game like this. Every game that comes after eschewing all the RPG tropes and mechanics to leverage unique mechanics and stats to tell a clever and humorous story like this will be seen as copying Disco Elysium.

If you like CRPGs and/or good narratives, you need to own this game.

For all the endless discussions of "Half Life 3 confirmed" I'd be just as happy with a Portal 3.

It is a challenging sim that engages my nostalgia for the early days of gaming. Mods and Steam Workshop support just make it even better. This is a solid game on the cheap. It is hard to go wrong here.

Awful. Just awful. I just played 7 or so quick exhibition games on the lowest difficult setting with two-button controls as the best team in the league against the worst team and lost badly each time. My goalie would routinely give up a goal on the first shot from the worst team. If he did make a stop, he'd pass directly to the opposing team. The icon was never on the goalie and it never seemed like I could control what he was doing.

Sometimes I'd have the puck on offense, but wasn't controlling the player either. The star icon wasn't on them and they skated straight and did nothing.

Even when I was controlling on offense, I'd have a teammate close by, aim to them and hit pass and instead my player would send the puck in the opposite direction right into the boards and give up the puck.

I lost 30+ faceoffs in a row and never won a single one. Maybe I just couldn't get the timing right, but there appeared to me massive input delay. I never once won a single faceoff and that is statistically impossible to lose 30 coin flips in a row.

I'd press the button to change defensemen and it rarely switched to the closest one to the puck.

I got in five fights and literally never threw one punch. Again, there are only two buttons and neither seemed to do anything. Again, this may be terrible input delay.

Conceptually this looks great, but it was just frustrating and unplayble.

I honestly don't know how other people are playing this game.

Simply great storytelling. The tactical combat and ambience are nice. But this is the best story of the 3 recent Shadowrun campaigns, and one of the better RPG storylines period in recent years.

I love how it progresses through classic systems. Even if didn't grow up with old systems, this is an accessible and fun platformer that is challenging and fun. I enjoyed hunting down all the secrets to get 100% on the game.
