In all seriousness, this game is a delight. It's been nostalgic to explore realms of Disney movies I cherished as a kid, and getting to hang out with some of my favourite Disney characters.

I highly recommend this game if you're a fan of Disney and want something with an Animal Crossing kinda vibe. c:

As much as I love this game, I'm loathed to recommend it in its current state because of the ongoing issues. For me, most notably, the menu will not reliably load when launching through Steam - often, I get just a globe, or I can see the options but not interact with them (despite having done everything I can to troubleshoot from my end). Additionally, the franchise servers can be up and down like a yo-yo. Probably best to avoid this game for a while until they nail the stability.

Full disclosure, some of the stability issues I experienced were due to my graphics card driver needing an update without me noticing. Things are more stable, however Planet Zoo will often require the game to be launched twice before working smoothly.

There continue to be some teething problems with the franchise server, and also with Frontier making animals available in Franchise Mode for cash so that new players can start earning conservation points and saving for animals they actually wish to keep...

Even despite all of this, the game IS enjoyable. If you found Planet Coaster overwhelming and a bit daunting, rest assured that Planet Zoo is more accessible and allows those of us who struggle a little with creativity to still make attractive enclosures without feeling overwhelmed or out of our depth.

What a ride it's been! I'm not entirely aware of all of the changes that have occurred since I last played in 2019, but I recently picked Planet Zoo back up again and I've been having an absolute blast in Franchise Mode (as my play time may well suggest).

One of the wildest things to me is that exhibits are profitable now! They're also easier than ever to manage as you can tell the game what you want to do with any offspring that are bred (i.e. automatically move them to your Trade Center, release them or just straight up sell them).

This game is neat. Now, if only I could figure out how to make habitats that aren't all just boxes... :)

This game already has a lot of content, and the developers are working on even more. I love it. Kinda reminds me of Playstation Home back in the day, except better.

It's hard to be sad when you have cheerful blobs to take care of.
