What a great game this was. Outstanding artwork. Nice battle mechanics. Game knows when to be goofy and funny, knows when to be scary and ominous. Music used is really a piece of art. Gave me Undertale and Omori vibes. Especially the dreaming parts were really good. Can't wait for the second chapter and the full game eventually!

I think what makes this game special is the map design. The interconnectedness of the world creates a sense of exploring through an abandoned land, not just areas put together in a linear form. For example, you can see Lost Izalith from Tomb of the Giants or you can see Firelink Shrine from Blighttown. These little nuances increases the immersiveness of the game. After 12 years it still holds up. A must play for any FromSoftware fan.

Extraordinary story and characters. Really great game. It's up there on my list. BUT performance issues plague the game. Got this game in April, only now I could play it because of performance. FPS drops at some sections of the game. Even tough they fixed some problems, a game for 60$ should have better optimization.
