A bittersweet journey with your dog through a charming and colorful world.
Absolutely recommended for a cozy night or to play with your children.
Soundtrack and visuals are great.
Can't recommend enough.

I played this game, and it's dlc for around 20 hours and finished everything 100%, i think it has enough pro and cons to balance out and this should really be a mixed review, but as far as my experience goes i'll lean towards the negative, and here's why:

The game lacks a clear direction, and i think it's one of its biggest sins.
It starts off as a similar game to Dark Souls with a cutesy look and some platforming elements, you can in fact see the fire shrines, the cryptic storytelling, the "estus flasks" and the initial aestethic all point towards it.
After the first hour or so it moves to a Wind Waker style game, introducing dungeon, that unfortunately lacks some level design polish, between the time it takes to complete the two dungeons there is NO fire shrine for around 2 hours, that's why i found they forgot about the direction at one point.
After the second dungeon there's another change and you are basically sent to clean up the previous levels to fetch lots of items in the old environments so we can face the other bosses, that imho should have been in their own dungeon, and we shift towards a more platforming style.
At this point you'll be around halfway through the game but probably you will notice that fighting enemy is useless since you should have maxed out the mana, only thing the exp is used for, and also because it's so easy you'll rarely be up for a challenge and very rarely use your flasks to heal, not that the combat is the strong point of this game as you only have a combo of three and that's it.
Then there are the voids, this game platform style challenges, i think except for two they are all balanced correctly, maybe steering towards easy once you upgraded your platforming skills but nothing too bad.
After the fetch quest is done you face the final boss and the game ends.

The dlc is free and accessible after the final boss and is basically comprised of only void challenges plus a new boss, the problem i have with this ones is that the vast majority of the 15-20 included are trial and error of the worst kind. So i really can't recommend it playing unless you like this kind of genre.

Traversing the game world is mostly fun and the platform part works really well so the fact they transformed it into a trial and error doesn't sit well with the part of the game that was working the most.

All in all i can see the love the authors put into it but this game is ultimately plagued by a general incoherence of design that doesn't let a player enjoy it completely.
