S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 needs some balancing and work on ambient life but is the game of the year to me. Takes up and improves on the first opus without betraying it.

Game is dying:
- lack of new content
- 100% damage control communication
- dying playerbase makes the experience crippled by bots even more
- toxic in-game financing : lootboxes, FOMO and unfinishable battlepass

A very good party game, provides a lotsof fun but gets rotten as soon as you scrape its varnish.

Another good reason to crush Byzantium!

I still can't recommend the supporter edition anymore, the bonuses are useless and cosmectics and I was fine about it - it's a supporter edition afterall.

However, the developpers have poorly performed communication-wise during the PSN enforcement-gate. CEO openly lying ("you can't grab a steamID via game's code, we need PSNid"), justifying their decision to enforce by using Sony's false security logic, passive agressive CMs, pathos defense, etc.

They only turned against their publisher when they knew they were getting seriously review bombed and they were out of control anyway, which I consider pretty lame.

Le meilleur city builder depuis Banished. Des défauts de jeunesse (gestion des bœufs, ergonomie parfois compliquée, équilibrage, carte un peu faiblarde, manque de profondeur de certain aspects tels que l'exploitation des ressources, le commerce et la gestion des familles) mais c'est encourageant pour la suite si les mises à jours sont fréquentes. Sinon passé une trentaine d'heures il faudra revenir plus tard pour profiter davantage de rejouabilité.

This is a bad attempt to clone Tarkov, they actually partially cloned the UI and weapons customization system. In fact, he doesn't even come close and I tell this despite being critical about Tarkov's flaws.

Optimization is bad: random prop will have crazy amount of details e.g. a random buggy prop has a 100% 3D low poly chain, suspension springs or air intakes, while the texture looks like 1024. The map is just an heightmap with randomly placed props they likely bought from an assets store. The visual and general quality is overall inconsitent, as many bad UE games, it's hiding behind DOF, but the anims will betray directly the poor technical direction.

The AI is non existent, they are just eratically shooting targets.... shooting as soons as you're in their field of view. One the combat starts, they don't move but to go behind a wall, and come back to their previous route after a random amount of time. They show ZERO initiative and loudly speak to themselves to help the player to see them first.

I won't go further, I'll just leave on a positive note as the shooter part is not that bad, weapons and aiming are convenient.

Best extension to this day

It's the 4th time I change my review already, each negative review was because of the toxic publisher (broken server and then enforced PSN account). The game is great but I will never buy a Sony game again.

Glad to see out-of-Europe content at last, especially for muslims.
