If you turn off the subway cutscene in the settings, you're a literal terrorist. Though with the swinging being the actual best part of the game, you shouldn't be using fast travel that much anyways.

In all seriousness, this is one of the few games I will have completed at 100% on multiple consoles. I had to get rid of my ps4 a few years back, and the only two things I ever missed were Spider-Man, and the Ratchet and Clank games. I've been begging for a remaster/pc port of this game for years, and when they announced it, I counted down the days. Its the first game I ever pre-installed.

The combat is incredibly fun and strategic, the movement across the open world near perfect replica of New York is the best travel mechanism to appear in a game since Arkham Knight (not the batmobile, never the batmobile), and the story is enthralling and completely immersive. DLC adds more to an already expansive game, adding both more story and more game mechanics seamlessly. Any fans of the comics will find lots of things to get giddy and nerdy about in this game.

If I had anything to gripe about, it would be that the gadgets are not powerful enough, or rather the melee combat is too strong. I find myself forcing the usage of the web shooters during normal combat instead of it being a more integral part of it. If the melee was, maybe weakened(?) it would force the players to use the web shooters and other gadgets much more often and really show off the cool tech that Spider-Man lets you play with and upgrade.

Even if you aren't a typical gamer, even if you loath open world adventures, even if you hate Spider-Man, there will be something in this game for you to enjoy. Highly recommend, 10/10, will most certainly play again in NG+.
