The pixel art is stunning, the sound design is incredible. it all blends together and fits so well.

the mechanics are simple and easy to pick up on.
the customisation is good, but i wish i could make the character look a bit more like myself.

but thats not super important.

it also scales SO well with whatever size you set the game window to be. i loved having it just as background sounds as the built in afk mode is so good.

if ur into the genre of semi afk stuff, the aesthetic of what you see in the steam screenshots. then i don't think there is a better game on steam. hands down!

Honestly amazing. decided to "try this out" and all of a sudden 5 hrs went by real quick lol.
for an early access game, this is a STRONG 10/10 game

i would like the quests to be more of an optional thing. other than that i love this!!!
also, pls add a sprint keybind 🙏🏻

i played since beta. i played for like 400 hours after. then left because it felt abandoned. like a skins before bug fix kinda dev team.

came back today and its even worse. the balancing is so off, everyone is playing the same kit and class because its the only viable spec.
the ammount of cut scenes and pop ups is absolutely horrible. ive sever seen a game that could be a leading esports title fall so low.

This studio had a gem of a game but they absolutely let the soul of this game fade away.
its incredibly sad.

The player number says it all, and there is zero reason to get into this as a new player.

Thhe fact that you cant redeem a code from precons you buy is insane.
so playing commander here is pointless unless u pay insane ammounts on cards in game. and there is just no way people will do that

Servers were terrible at times. hovever since the latest update, i havent had any issues myself. login ques are manageable now. depending on time of day and day of the week.

considereing how Gold River (lead game dev) himself said they hoped for 200K ish players. and got 1,3 million players. i get why the ques were long, but i still think they should know that one EU region would not be enough.

and thats just on steam. today i feel the biggest holdback is at amazon and their servers. they could for sure manage a way to create and upload a snapshot of your character, settings, progression etc. and then allowing you to get that character on another server to spread players out a little.

The game
Playing feels like a mix between Diablo and Black desert online. The game has super flashy and very satisfying combat, click to move navigation and skillshots that dont lock on. so it actually takes somewhat skill to hit things if you play a ranged class.

Story is mediocre, the english voiceacting is garbage. but the systems, colelctables and stuff is great. the levelvdesign is ABSOLUTELY mindblowing imo. i love it to bits. i wish the character creator was a bit more detailed. nothing compares to BDO but ey. still good.

some classes are genderlocked, and thats a little annoying but it is what it is.

ive had nothing but fun playing this. and i have way too many hours played in wow, and getting to a fair bit hours in ff14 now too. so comparing to those, this is a great game. ff14 will probably still be my fav mmo. but this game is very easy to sink some hours into here and there.

if you are completely new, i would watch some beginner tips videos to get into all the systems for player power. if not you might get blown back by all the stuff you have to manage, engraving, enchants, cards, engraving stones, engraving books, gear stats, gearcore, gear quality, battle items, collectables, npc rep farming, roster xp vs player xp, all the currency etc etc.

it sounds like a lot, but its very manageable once u play for a few days.

its also been fun to have been part of the beginning even tho its been out for a while in korea and russia.

Well, as a wow player. i must say this has been like playing wow for the first time in a way. as its a new world. but its lore is already polished. ofc its earier to find guides and tips than whnat wow was back in the days. but still.

With all the stupid timegated systems from Shadowlands. it was a blessing to level in this game, and to gear up. the fact that all classes can be played by one character is also such a great thing.

the community is asweome and super friendly compared to wow. i know its a meme that wow players are toxic. but its true. (coming from someone who also has about 7Khrs in csgo btw).

The devs LISTEN to feedback. they see ti as our, the players game. and not their own. something u dont get at blizzard.

anyways;
i started as lancer, it felt super booring for me. so when i hit lvl 15 i think it was, i switched to rogue, as i played monk and rogue in WoW.

and that was such a great time. leveleing was amazing, fast and fun. visuals are GREAT. even in the older parts. old content and raids were relevant still. something wow does not know how to do.

if you come from wow, and its been a while since u leveled. u might find leveling to be a little annoying. but ive always tried to have lots of classes at max level in wow. so i level a lot. and for me, it was way better.... WAY BETTER.

the only thing i would pick on a little. is the fact that voice acting seems super random in quests. there can be a cutscene where you click-read subtitles. and then 3 or 4 voice lines are voice acted. and then it stops. its a little strange that MSQ isnt all just voice acted imo. but u get used to it.

Atm im playing ninja and loving it. i might try samurai soon aswell. but im very happy so far.


TLDR: MMO fan? Give it a try! its not for everyone. but it sure was a breath of fresh air for me. commin from bfa and shadowlands....

YUUUP its probably the best in its genre. the best part, is PoE 2 is comming out soon aswell. rip blizzard

whats kinda bad:
its a bit too much focus on climbing than what most imagine a starwars game would have, but fine.
the map is AWFULL. super confusing at times to understand where to go.

other than that its hands down my fav story game of 2019. SUPER well written, best fast travel interactions ever, amazing characters and voice acting. graphics are just AMAZING, it runs super great with nice fps on the specs it says. i wish it had more side quests only so i could play this game more. for me 8/10 and totally worth the money
