truly phenomenal piece of art. the writing is excellent, the characters flawed and lovable, the UI and sound design and art all fantastic and integral to the experience. (i was delighted when i found out that the items on the screen make noises!! it just adds to how visceral it all feels.) play the game. radicalise your polycule. burn corruption to the ground.

i've never felt smarter in my life than i did completing this

beautiful, perfect, and so wonderfully human. everything is going to hell and everyone is dying and living and loving and it is one hell of an emotional ride. the dialogue hits a perfect blend of silly and serious, the character animations add so much life, and the art and UI are stunning. every choice has impact. even when i feel like i'm making a bad decision, i never feel like i'm making the wrong decision.

genuinely one of my favourite games of all time now, let alone a phenomenal example of visual novels as a medium and choice-based design as mechanics. <3 <3 <3

a short and poignant story with a strong central mechanic. the UI and sound design are both very good at immersing you in the game, and it's cool to see the consequences of your actions at the end

it's very cute! i haven't played creme de la creme, but the game is considerate of that and lets you customise it with whether you have or haven't. the main character customisation and stats are really interesting, the love interests all feel distinct and appealing, and the world and overarching plot is a neat glimpse into the politics of this world. it's great! i'd definitely recommend it

this game inspired me to make games <3<3<3

i met the devs of this at adventure x and they described their motivations for making it as, "we wanted to do all of the fun bits of bioware games where you befriend and romance the companions, but we got tired of waiting so we did it ourselves" and that is precisely the vibe of this game. the inspiration from bioware is really obvious, but never overbearing; it takes a lot of the best bits and re-imagines them for a visual novel in a very satisfying way. my favourite bits are having party banter and getting to see party members interact with each other because it makes the party seem more realistic and well-rounded than a lot of party-based games do! i'm also impressed at how good the romance options are, as i found it very hard to choose one. would highly recommend this :D
