Compact and very fun experience! The movement felt great, layout promotes a lot of creative approach - though some things could use a polish overall, it's an enjoyable time from start to finish!

This is a very Video Game. Pure dopamine.

True to the artistic design of the original while updating graphics and mechanics to add new value to the experience. It's still Dead Space, but a much more polished one.

I have trouble describing exactly what about Darkwood so enraptures me. I found myself frequently frustrated, cursing and berating every enemy and every death, and yet I easily dusted off and went back to exploring this bizarre world, as invested as before. There's a bit of a siren song to this experience, amplified by the foreboding atmosphere; tempered by the twisted characters and haunting narrative. There's something so obscure yet so primal; otherworldly but familiar all the same. There's just enough to give you small comforts - just enough to make you brave enough to venture out to your inevitable doom.

There's something woefully delightful about this game, and I think about it with surprising frequency. It's certainly a unique experience, and it may not be for you, but if you appreciate atmosphere, Darkwood is practically drowning in it.

Very fun. Enjoyable concept presented cleanly. I didn't get to try out the co-op mode, but I do suspect that would add even more amusement. The early levels tend to whiz by, but later levels definitely ramp up the puzzle factor. Boss fights did feel a bit trial-and-error to me but you get back into them fast enough that it wasn't much of a bother.

Combat flows well and feels good, great feedback on hits, the world is intriguing, and there's an exceptional level of glib irreverence that ties everything together neatly. The visuals are quite nice, and the music, while not as in your face as Titan Souls', has a nice sense of ambient melody and drive.

All-in-all just a really satisfying game to play.

Take the environmental puzzle style of something like Myst, make it teeny tiny planets instead of books, toss in a spaceship, temporal loops, and quantum everything and you've got one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. An absolute treat.

I made a Himbo pawn, dressed him up like a Greek god and taught him to pogo-jump with a giant hammer.

Mass Effect 2 and 3 have always played pretty well, but god did Mass Effect 1 need this. This is hands down the most fun I've had with ME1 since the very first time I played it. The improvements give it a nice polish without removing the character underneath.

Off of the update to ME1 alone I'd recommend this, but there's 2 and 3 and it's all streamlined and neatly packaged with a bow. Runs great, plays nice, and the improvements list is exhaustively large and I read it all for some reason.
