This quickly became one of my favorite strategy games of late, maybe of all time. The width and depth of mechanics combined with unprecedented degree of creative freedom the game gives when making custom factions and heroes makes a great experience, and highly replayable too.

From what I gather, the game had a rough start, but got better and better with each upcoming DLC. Veterans say it's likely in the best state since release, balance and features wise. The speed and size of updates so far is surprisingly good too, compared to other games.

If I had to critique something, I'd say some of the models and animations are janky, music is unremarkable, and balance is decent, but not perfect. Other than that, it's a solid 9.5/10 for me.
