Honestly not much would change plotwise. You’d need to abbreviate most of the show to fit in the Gainax 24-26 standard, but that’s honestly an improvement. The only real changes would be moving outside of Steven’s perspective to show how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and depressing the whole situation is when a fat 12 year old gay kid isn’t trying to hug every abomination that washes up on Beach City.
