Several years later:
-Amazing game with a lot to do.
-Several hours easily spent in game with time passing by quick.
-Missions and events are short and sweet, theres no need to commit to anything really.
-Still buggy as heck because its bethesda.

I would recommend picking up this game nowadays as just like any other bethesda game, it just needed a lot of time and love to become one of the best to invest time into.

After coming back to revisit both L4D and B4B, I can confidently say that L4D feels awful to play in current technological times/standards. B4B solves this issue when it comes to campaign gameplay, however, lacks the proper support from the devs who abandoned this project too early to polish the rest of the game. It is disappointing, because I did have a lot of fun playing it, but now have the weight of knowing that I'm supporting Turtle Rock executives that continue to make it look like a rug pull.

Turtle Rock really got bought out by Tencent and then abandons this game but still sells merch for it and prices the game at full price. Their excuse being that they are working on a new game instead of apologizing for their marketing mistakes and listening to the community needs. All in all, it feels like an awful studio, and I will never buy another game on release from them, but they did make a gem in this one. Whether or not you decide to get this game, it is definitely not still worth the greedy $60+ after all these years and abandonment, but if it is on sale like during black friday or if you have ps/xbox game pass, try it out.

tldr;
I would highly recommend you give it a try if you have the chance to get it for cheap, as the campaign and mechanics are top notch, but don't line the pockets of these rug pullers any more than that. Classic case of good game, bad company.
