Amazing setting, atmosphere, aesthetics and art style.
The storytelling is very baffling, fragmented and cryptic, but in a nice, very thought through deliberate way, that makes you more curious than frustrated. Having no clue wtf is happening actually adds a lot to the experience, and makes you emotionally perceive the game in a way the devs intended. And the story itself is very thought-engaging, I enjoyed it.

My only complaint is the annoying and frustrating gameplay. Your biggest obstacles are a VERY limited inventory space and a constant shortage of ammo. The gameplay loop is just a less fun escape room, like find the key A, that opens the door B, where you find the thing C, that gives you the key to the door D, where you find the item E, that combines with the item G, and opens the thing H etc. With occasional fun but not very complex puzzles, and with LOTS of backtracking through the respawning enemies that you don't even have the ammo to deal with. If you really don't like it, I'd even go as far as suggesting just watching one of those long YT vids chronologically depicting what's happening in the game instead.

Gave the game a pretty fair shot I feel like, I like its setting and heard good things about it, but still didn't end up enjoying it.
Not a fan of storytelling through the cryptic obscure text dumps, and the gameplay is either running forever back and forth, or very scuffed combat. I get that the struggle is the whole point of this game, but idk doesn't make the self-inflicted pain from playing it any more enjoyable.

Loved Everhood 1, I had high hopes but didn't like it.
Identical encounters just to artificially extend gameplay without any impact. Fights are overall way less challenging. Unless you go for One Hits, then it becomes frustrating. Lackluster random story, set in random locations, filled with random lifeless characters with random motivation, sometimes randomly spewing some philosophical ideas with no connection to what happened before it. Idk.
It's just a decent indie game, can't say many more nice things about it. The first game set the bar too high I guess.

Very fun new survivors, very cool new maps, new items suck but they didn't ruin the balance which is good, only 3 new enemies, new boss fight is ok (def better than voidling).
If we ignore TONS of gamebreaking bugs, an overall okay DLC. Much much smaller than SoTV though.

F*ck gearbox for setting an impossible deadline and introducing all these bugs, making the game unplayable in some cases


Update after ~50 hours:
Changing it to negative, the only good things about it are new survivors and the maps. New enemies ALL suck, fighting enemies that disengage you is not fun, just annoying. New items are ALL trash, except 2 of them, they just delude the loot pool and make you find speed and damage items less frequently. New boss is absolute garbage, all his attacks are boring, and laser attack is just ridiculous. A sophomore gamedev could've done a better job designing it. New elite types are so bad it's not even funny: one of them is given GIGA hp and you can't continue with your run until you kill it because it steals your money, and the other one will kill you for having, you know, the the most fun thing in the game, the proc chains. No new mechanics, no new techs, no new good synergies or fun new ways to proceed with your run. Can't wait for a mod that removes everything but survivors and maps.

Cool idea and promising beginning. But there's empty linear world that you can't explore or go off track, wonky walking physics, none of the story characters felt real/reasonable/genuine, disappointing endingthat is by design anticlimactic, but still doesn't give insight into characters' motivation and actions

Add multiplayer 🙏

Don't look up anything else about this game, just buy it and dive into it blindly, it's worth it. I did just that, and it was one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had.
