Music choice is a bit odd sometimes but still a solid horror game especially for it's price.

If you ever wanted to know how far a company would go when they don't have any competition, this is the game for you.
Even though it's scummy, the concept of "premium" accounts in multiplayer games is nothing new, a lot of games will either put the game behind a monthly paywall or make the game unenjoyable without a premium account to incentivize players to give them money every month. In War Thunder you have to pay monthly to get a chance to enjoy the game.

Worked hard and helped your team come back at the last second and won the match?
Congrats, you won 50k SL and lost 40k SL in repair costs. A few more good matches later maybe you can buy that essential module that should've been in the vehicle from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beginning.

Died to CAS twice before even you could reach the battlefield?
Congrats, you just lost 20k SL. Better play Air RB to make up your loss.

Wanted to help your team against CAS with your SPAA?
Commendable, but every air kill you get is 2k SL and your SPAA costs 6k SL to repair. It doesn't end there, CAS pilots in War Thunder can magically survive 20mm autocannon fire to the face so you better pray that your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little HE rounds splits the plane in half, otherwise the enemy plane can shred your tin can SPAA in seconds.

On top all of that some of the issues the game screws you over twice, directly and indirectly. For example the braindead RP soft cap means useful actions like kills, assists and point captures gives you exponentially less reward than the previous one. ♥♥♥♥ like this incentivizes players to leave early and I can't blame them. Why play a long drawn-out match to earn 2.5k RP + 30k SL when you can just leave in 10 minutes and earn 2k RP + 20k SL? This leads to matches where one of the teams falls apart in 5 minutes and suddenly it's 6v15 on an uptier.

If you are willing to give 20 dollars every month for a premium account, 20 to 60 dollars for a premium vehicle and more for the in-game premium currency then it's a fantastic game, there is nothing like it. You can play anything from interwar to modern era vehicles but it's only "free" until BR 5-6, after that you need to be very skilled to make any meaningful gains(without premium account).
That "free until x" wouldn't be so bad if they didn't ♥♥♥♥ you over for trying to play the game, but they do and they showed it time and time again that they are not willing to change.

Great job adding a launcher that literally no one wanted 👌

Launcher seems to be built with Electron or something similar, so every time you launch the game you have to wait for all that web bloat to wake from it's slumber then you can go back to the launcher and start the game again because starting it from Steam wasn't enough.

I hope this gets removed soon and doesn't turn into an another deltaV fight between devs and the players.

If you plan to run it on a modern OS you need to install nGlide and a patch for nGlide.
After that you have to change Tachyon.cfg to this:

When you have done that start the game from space.exe NOT from the Tachyon.exe otherwise launcher will overwrite your config file.
