Half-Life and its mods have always been a small addiction of mine. Nowadays I mostly only play Team Fortress 2. I also used to design levels for the HL addon Opposing Force -- EdGe_Of_FiRe's Opposing Force Maps [www.google.com]

MY VALVE GAMING HISTORY:
After reading rave reviews in PC Accelerator I purchased Half-Life in November 1998, just two weeks after it came out and quickly got real into HLDM (Half-Life Deathmatch), OP4 (Opposing Force), and TFC (Team Fortress Classic). I only played Counterstrike occasionally and rarely played any other mods.

At only 14 years old, my multiplayer name was "Dopeman" (named after the Less Than Jake song). In most of 1999 I played in a HLDM clan called [IPF] (ImPerial Force) as "The_Godfather[IPF]." I helped [IPF] grow by recruiting talent and running their website. Once TFC came out, we switched over to TFC and renamed ourselves [JK] (Jedi Knights). I decided to rename myself "[JK]Edge." There were many fun times had with [JK]; we had our own TFC server which I helped run and played in several tournaments. But as the clan slowly fell apart I eventually quit and birthed the name "EdGe_Of_FiRe.” Shortly after OP4 came out, I began playing it frequently and soon became one of the original members of the then-well-known [♥♥♥♥] (Freelance Undercover Cyber Terrorists) clan -- EdGe[♥♥♥♥]. [♥♥♥♥] was a lot of fun; we pretty much dominated every game. But eventually I decided to quit the whole clan thing altogether and resume the name "EdGe_Of_FiRe," which has stuck ever since.

From 1999-2001 I made multiplayer maps for OP4; one (Snocore - op4_snocore) won an award from Planet Half-Life (PHL) and another (Over The Edge - op4_edge) was featured in a German PC gaming magazine called PC Action. I was only 16 at the time, so these were proud accomplishments for me. Other maps I made were Ancient Arena (op4_ancient), Minecart Cavern (op4_cavern), and Total Destruction (op4_destruction). You can officially download these old OP4 maps at IGN's Fileplanet (link below) or find them on one of the few OP4 servers left. I previously had my own website at PHL called "EdGe_Of_FiRe's Half-Life Lair," but as of August 2009 PHL shut down all of their hosted sites. I also used to review HLDM and OP4 maps for the PHL hosted site Biohazard. I don't have any plans to resume mapping, for I'm far too busy these days.

As college got increasingly busy in 2003, I stopped playing PC games altogether, but got senioritis and resumed in 2005 with OP4 and TFC only, reliving the glory days and reconnecting with old comrades. By 2007, these days had ended. OP4 became nearly a dead game and Team Fortress 2 came out, prompting me to buy The Orange Box and switch over from TFC to TF2. Nowadays when it comes to PC games, I mostly (still!) play TF2. You are likely find me on The Twisted Network or TheVille.org servers which have become some of my favorites throughout the years.

Other interests of mine include music (rock/alternative/punk/indie/electronic), tennis, biking, travel, craft beer, and just hanging out with my friends around ATX.
