I have 40+ hours in Getting Over it with Bennet Foddy.
This game made me rage-quit with how bad it is.

Grim Fandango is a crazy 1940s film noir gangster drama, taking place in the Mexican land of the dead. This game is saturated with the most interesting characters that I have ever seen within a game, or any piece of fiction, which I think is one of the most important traits within a storytelling game. It's insane how extra the immersion in this game feels, for such an out there concept, the characters are relateable yet remain so unique, as well as the story being so believeable for such a crazy concept.

The story is just as equally as outstanding, I won't go into too much detail as I don't want to spoil the game, but every single twist and turn in the story draws you in more as you really want to succeed, and you want the main character to succeed.

The MUSIC; big band jazz. The classic swing much like in Bioshock, and Fallout. It has the ability to put you in another time, mixed with the spicy mexican flavours of the game. You'd be doing yourself an injustice if you didn't ever listen to the soundtrack.

I've seen the bad reviews saying the puzzles are impossibly hard, however I didn't find them too hard. I had to look up a few things, as I just did a couple of things out of order, but it's worth it completely. I think our generation is just used to games with hardly any story and just big budget graphics, where the games are easy and the standard is to complete them within a few days.

If you really want a distraction and to fully be consumed with an amazing plot line and characters, this is a game for you. If you love games for the graphics and shooting things, maybe just give it a try and see if you like it! But if not, whatever. Lol.
