Early Access Review
It feels more like a shooter then a survival game as of now. I like that the health regenerates, it lends itself to more fast paced gameplay. The ending of the matches seems really sudden, and we had some issues with following out the winner within ten seconds, but the game core concepts them-self seem really strong and entertaining to build off of. The zombie attack rate was a little wonkey - sometimes they'd only get a single swipe in when they were next to me for a while, sometimes they got a ton of hits and killed when they barely touched. The city is pretty expansive, maybe having a pick-upable map in addition to the keycard? Some kind of other things to find while looting. Stronger flashlight batteries, more bullets, etc. You would need to get a crew together to play it, as of now the servers haven't been active but it's still young so that's to be expected. Looking forward to seeing this game grow.

So essentially pros:
-Mobility feels great, you can fly around like a space ninja blender
-Tons of different playstyles to do the same mission with stealth being rewarded in its own ways
-Lot of warframes(classes essentially) that you can switch between with easy to set loadouts
-Tons of choices and places to explore
-Excellent Devs: Look into the story of Digital Extremes, they basically shot their whole shot on this and they barely made it after risking it all. They put out now content all the time, listen to their community as well as they can with millions of voices to hear, and they do regular streams with giveaways to keep their players updated
-Great Feel: When you do damage, you feel it hit. When you move around and click stuff and do melee combos, it clicks right. There's a nice fusion of UI/Sound/Responsiveness that makes everything you do satisfying on a hard to explain level. You know when you're doing work or get kill stolen.
-Very customizable: Once you've unlocked everything, you have like 15 different things to put modifications on in your kit, and you may want different situational loadouts on each one of those things. If you like crunch it's great, and if you don't you can always go super basic and look up optimizaed builds for what you want.
-Massive Lore: There is a lot to get involved with story wise. There's a reason why everything happens, and the lore goes so deep into the whole game that I still don't follow it half the time until someone points it out.

Cons:
Resource grind: You need a bunch of many different resources to do any crafting so you can up your effectiveness. The game is designed to give you places to make this way faster if you focus on it, but still let you passively gain them as you go
System Requirements: Definitely not a game you'll have fun playing on a toaster. You don't need a cutting edge machine, you just need something in the middle. Go with System recommendations not system requirements as your bar.
Pay to progress: People can definitely throw money at the screen and skip a lot of the grind then just flex with pretty cosmetics and gear. They still have to do some work, it's just less then a free to play player. Luckily, since there's very little PVP emphasis it's mostly just them standing in a corner J/Oing while you and your friends do your thing.
Wiki Addiction: The game has basic game info in the client and it tutorials you through a lot, but you're likely gonna wanna clan up or get married to the wiki (ideally both) because they never spell it all out in depth in game aside from the ocasional loading menue tip or tool tip. Granted the WARFRAME wiki is god tier levels of informational but I've still gotta point this out.
Overwhelming Choices: Sometimes there's so much to pick from that you'll just be sitting there slackjawed in front of all your options. You have to narrow down what you want to get done. The answer until you get through the main quest should be progressing to new planets and accomplishing the quests you get from doing so. The game becomes more and more interesting with more and more features as you go through the main questline, but you'll need to spend some time doing other things if you want to keep up with the challenge of the game.
Slotted Fun: You can only hold so many warframes or weapons at a time. You need to spend platinum($) to hold more and the game incentivizes you to constantly be leveling at least one component of your load out because that is how your character levels up, by leveling gear. So you either have to pick your least favorite things you've 30'd to sell (after checking that they're not a crafting component for another weapon or frame!) or else you have to trade off stuff you don't need for plat, or just throw money at the screen (if you do try and wait for a login discount)

So to conclude:
It's not a perfect game, but they gotta make their money some how. If they had a paywall up front before people had a chance to play, but then there was no plat wall and it was all unlocked from just progressing, I don't think the game would have caught on the way it does, and since you can trade off stuff you find for plat (focus on prime blueprints and Riven mods for this) then you can easily play the market and keep your wallet closed, and let someone else keep the game afloat without much of a loss. As a new player, you won't have many sources of plat so instead of buying more slots (which is great to do) you may just want to progress as hard as you can in a good couple of warframes that you like and pick one slot to be your "delete and replace" slot so you always have something strong to fall back on if you're taking a hard mission on you can't beat with your unleveled gear.
-Craft time: some things can take as long as 72 Hours to craft. You can (of course) rush it with platinum but it's not worth it unless you're going full on whale and dollars don't matter to you. I think these add impact to the slotted items you craft, like the warframes and weapons, but it can be a little sad when you are amped after finally getting everything you need to build a frame, then you spend 12 hours on all three componenets and 72 on the final craft. This is why people tell me to always be working on the next few things you're going to be levelling before all your existing gear is maxed to 30. You should always be at least one part of your loadout that you can level if you're not stuck (obviously if you can't beat a mission you need to get serious and put your best stuff on, but in the meantime keep levelling something and adding mods to it as it gains more capacity for them).
