The game is the game. You will never be as good as you wish you were, and there will always be lag when you least expect and need it. Monetization is not a problem and I've gotten well past my money's worth.

The game is a marked improvement over the previous one! They took the feedback about intertwined stories and did a good job of addressing it within the confines of the gameplay loop they’ve built.

I’ve played about ~50 hours (mostly offline due to travel) and am approaching the conclusion of the character stories. Plenty more game to play and it’s a near perfect Steamdeck game.

To crib from another reviewer, I too love dopamine. This game is an iterative, meaningful, deep addition to the genre and feels better than Vampire Survivors does. Absolutely worth the price of admission.

The game has an incredible amount of depth for the price point. I've recommended it to multiple friends who play all kinds of games and everyone has enjoyed the time they spent with it, even if they don't play it for a dozen hours. Would easily buy this for $10 and not blink twice.

Well worth the price of admission. Lots of fun to play with a friend or three. Dying on a run doesn't feel overly punitive and there is tons of variety in the builds for each run. Love it!

Really enjoyable Souls-like game that's much more approachable/accessible than that. Exploration is fun and the puzzle elements have been thoughtful but not overbearing thus far.

Edit to add: Finished the game after 22-24 hours with most planets 80%+ complete on the standard difficulty. 100% must buy recommendation for those who enjoy a single player narrative focused game with satisfying but slightly challenging (that can be made VERY challenging in the menu) game play.

I love this game - it's fun to watch people play, and it's fun to play yourself. I have no issues with the online-only component. There are so many unique ways to explore the environment. Lots of, to quote Dan Ryckert, "dumb stuff" to do and laugh at. The game is super video gamey and I appreciate the crazy stuff you can do.
