For me, there is too much to do. I understand I can have employees to automate tasks, so I don't have to do so much, but at a certain point, its just plain too much, yknow? To the point where its kind of unbelievable, and I may as well be managing an entire town at that point. Like... Gas station. Cool! Convenience store. Neat! ...Car repair..? I mean, I guess that makes sense, right? Car wash? Sure, yeah... Air- F--KING AIRPORT?!!? hUh???? And then there's an ice cream stand and now there's gonna be a whole ass junkyard, and im just sitting here like...

ᵒᵏᵃʸ

But its a neat game, and I WOULD recommend it. Its fun. Markiplier played it. That's all I got.

So here's the thing.

At first? It seems like there's so much to do, and its such a neat game...

After about an hour or two it becomes fairly apparent that... there's really not much to it.

Hopefully they add more, but yeah. Other reviewers have said that the towns are very small. I say I don't really care about that, what I care about is the jobs. There are three. And Pizza cook and Bartender are really REALLY easy, once you figure out the mechanics. There's just nothing to it. I get its a life simulator, but damn, they got the monotony of my life DOWN. Wake up, go to work, come home, wait around until its time to sleep.

The crimes are fun, but they're all the same. I did all of them, each time thinking "huh wonder when i'm gonna see a new mechanic?" but no dice.

Its a good foundation. It just needs to be built upon. There's really just not a lot to do here, but maybe I've not dug deep enough. If that's the case, then the game does a bad job of letting you know what you CAN do, and how to do it.

Try it out, i guess. Its neat. Is it worth 20 USD? Maybe not, honestly. But like I said, its a good foundation.

Finally: A game actually worth its price. I'd've paid more, honestly. This game deserves all the awards. It's incredibly good.

Hundreds of hours, and i still haven't started Act 3. And that's in a good way.

Its... just okay. Its extremely repetitive, and the puzzles juuust suck. Its not very fun. It is a profoundly neat idea! But the execution, i feel, is wanting. There's just so little to actually DO. Its always the same, and that would be fine. After all, Phasmophobia is just like that! But in Phasmophobia, the fun is in trying to figure out what the ghost is. In this game, that process isn't really FUN, and its not even dangerous. There is no challenge. Its just a chore to get the artifact. Then you find a blue lever somewhere inside while avoiding whatever ghost it happens to be. While the ghosts or "Mejai" all have different unique mechanics from one another, at the end of the day, all youre really doing is running around looking for something. And then you get a choice: Perform the ritual, if you've found all the jars and the thing, OR just dip with the artifact British Museum scumbag style.

So... Do a chore with very little reward, so that you can do ANOTHER chore with a sh**ty monster on your tail, so that you can do yet ANOTHER chore with incoherent puzzles to banish the Mejai... for reasons? What do you get out of it? I dont remember. Its that trivial. I don't even REMEMBER what you get, IF you get anything.

Or you can just get your reward straightaway, and peace out with the artifact, and end the slog.

I always opt for option 2. The puzzles suck, the gameplay is pointless. The main thing i like about this game is the SOUND and the atmosphere. The sounds are real spooky, and the effects it gives proximity voices are really neat. It is a decent enough game for streaming with friends, but its not really all that FUN. Also, as a big fan of Stargate, idunno, i guess i just like the whole ~vibe~. I will say this game has better SCARES than Phasmo... but once you get spooked, its just goofy.

The stuff lingers for too long and, since theyre not DANGEROUS, you wind up just laughing at it. Whereas in Phasmo, you get chased and all that THROUGHOUT the investigation, and have to be on your toes, Forewarned just.... isn't that. You're literally just wandering around, looking for items and treasure, while the ghost just... wiggles around in the background, and MAYBE comes up to clap your cheeks, only to be easily thwarted with the... swing of the torch. Singular.

Bruh.

But still... There's so little to do, there's so little to like. Its not terrible, I guess, its just not good. Its barely even just okay. It sure is a game. I don't like it much.

Unfortunately, the FoV is unchangeable in the game's settings. For me, when the game is this zoomed in, that is just a dealbreaker. It seems neat, the coding stuff is fine, but it makes me feel claustrophobic and like i'm two inches from the in-game monitor, which just ruins the entire experience. If you're like me, and require a higher FoV than, like, 60, might wanna try your luck elsewhere. If you're fine with feeling like a toddler standing directly in front of the fat-back TV watching teletubbies in 2006, then try it out! ...weirdo.

This game is very immensely flawed, as all Elder Scrolls games are. The main term to describe it is simply, "Bugthesda." Moreover, it is simply not very good.

However, you may notice that I have marked this review as recommending it. This is solely due to the dedicated work of the people at Daggerfall Workshop. I dont know anything about these folks, but I do know that this open source project has, in true Elder Scrolls fashion, revitalized the game and made it truly one of the greatest RPG experiences I've ever had. It has its quirks, and its not for everyone, but I do think everyone should give it a go.

And if you don't like the vanilla version, there's always a small, but dedicated, modding community on the Nexus, as always. As all Elder Scrolls games, it is decent on its own (though this one is NOT very good, by other TES games' standards), but in order to reach its TRUE potential, that takes the work of volunteer modders (a tradition the company seems to now have, that I honestly find abhorrent and immoral. Dont release a broken product and expect your customers to fix it themselves.)

Daggerfall is many things, but the sum of it all is that Daggerfall has taken Role-Playing Game quite literally, acting more as a virtual Dungeon Master than a video game, for a digital single-player RPG experience. It is one of the progenitors of the modern RPG, if not THE father of modern fantasy RPGs. Daggerfall is a dungeon-crawling hack-and-slash adventure game, with life-simulator elements, as you delve into treacherous ruins and winding caverns, save damsels and bachelors from peril at the hands of assassins, thieves or other such devious folk, or even simply deliver packages across towns or across countrysides. With a scale so massive, not only in scope but in literal landmass, it dwarfs all other games of the time, and most games even today, ESPECIALLY with mods.

Daggerfall has the potential to be the ultimate RPG, where you can truly live an adventurer's life in Tamriel, though it is before all the strange and enchanting Lore comes in from Morrowind (Though it has a whimsy of its own, should you be patient enough to read.) Daggerfall is brutal, out of the box. You'll find little to guide you, often to the gameplay's detriment. But in some ways, it adds to the charm. You must place yourself into the mind of your character, or rather place yourself in the world around you.

You are not some person sitting at their desk, sipping coffee, listening to a 32 hour Quinton Reviews video as you delve into a pixelated dungeon, you're an adventurer, with a purpose, and you have to remember what you are doing and why, else you won't succeed, let alone have fun. There are certain things that help you, especially the quest log. But oftentimes, you just have to remember.

This game is amazing, in many ways, and a testament to the potential that is, and was, Bethesda.

Absolutely necessary mods for me are:
-Basic Roads
-Blessed Magic Compass
-fixed dungeon exteriors
-handpainted models
-real grass
-simple 3D trees
-world of Daggerfall
-distant terrain

I also recommend Dream - 90s and NPC Health Indicators
Definitely also turn on the Smaller Dungeons option in the startup menu, if you don't want to be stuck for a Real-World week, literally, IRL, lost in the dungeon. But it does sometimes go a bit too far for my taste, with some places being exactly four rooms and three enemies... underwhelming. But at least I'm not getting lost for REAL DAYS.

Like I said, this game isnt for everyone. But seriously, give DFU a shot... and maybe get a few of the mods i recommend, if you're a modern gamer. 2d sprites have their charm, but I find the 2d trees a bit... silly.

19 hours wasted. ten of them I wish i had back. But it was a nice experience. Not something I'd want to play again, though. For the price I paid, definitely worth it it. Recommended if on sale. This game's a bit too shallow for 20 USD imo. I'd rather buy some taco bell for that kind of money. But I got it for 8$.

Its buggy and seems abandoned. Broken english abounds, and the only minigame worth even playing is the counter strike clone. You could literally just play counter strike, if that's what youre after. This game is neat. But the only unique feature you can't get elsewhere, done better, is the numbers going up. But even then, other games have the numbers that, indeed, go uppies. So really, this game has nothing going for it.

This is a weird review for a positive recommendation, but... The physics are ♥♥♥♥♥, there are a few gamebreaking bugs still unfixed, and the devs seem to just be shoveling out half-baked dough hand over fist. This is their best project, as far as I'm aware, but... Look, its uncooked, but its still cookie-dough. I have nothing positive to say. It was just a nice gameplay experience, before I got extremely annoyed with the gameplay.

Normally, I'd say "Don't bother" but. Idunno. Its fun. Its just... bland. Shallow. derivative. There's nothing it HAS, it just takes from other games and puts it all together in a half-assed way. Its not good. Its not bad. It just is.

Overall?

Sure is a game. buy if on sale

lewd stuff is fine
gameplay kinda sucks ngl

movement is floaty and gets caught on every little curb and pebble, with maneuvering your lil fella around becoming more and more of a pain as you delve into dungeons and stuff. Speaking of which, they seem very repetitive, but maybe there's some others i just haven't seen yet. Climbing up onto stuff is also quite irritating, as its not exactly smooth. Plus, even things i can just jump on top of, my lil guy will just climb onto them, anyways, potentially stopping me and leaving me open to enemy attacks if i'm trying to flee.

Which brings me to the combat. It sucks. Its not good. It COULD be very fun. It has potential, and just needs a few tweaks here and there. For instance, dodging should interrupt your current attack animation. Just full stop. OR your attacks should interrupt enemies' attacks. Because as it stands now, the enemies will just keep going, with a random CHANCE to be interrupted by damage, it seems. Maybe there's some funky mechanics i've yet to explore, but just from what I've played so far? It sucks. Its bad. But it could be good. All it needs is one of the following options. Enemies' attacks should be more telegraphed to the player. With a SLIGHTLY slower animation. Or, YOUR attacks should interrupt an enemies, always, if you time it properly. That might actually already be the case, but to me, it just seems totally random whether it does or not, and that moment, in any case, needs to be clear to the player, either using the UI or just a cue in the animation itself, when an attack is uninterruptible and thus you need to dodge. OR they need to make parrying actually useful. It seems to do LITERALLY nothing but stun YOU. Its extremely annoying, and is best, in its current state, left unused. Just dodge. Blocking, if that's what that animation is while holding the right mouse button, seems to do next to nothing, as well. It doesnt mitigate enough damage to be worth using. Just dodge. This all compounds to make the combat a very tedious slog of hacking and slashing and being frustrated because an enemy just cut through your animation, which is uninterruptable. If you have good reflexes, and tap that button in time, you should be able to interrupt your attacks and dodge. OR their attacks should be slower, giving you more time to react accordingly and NOT spam the attack button. But we're gonna do that in any case, its not exactly a TACTICAL experience. They seem to be going for a pseudo-soulslike feel for the combat, and... it just isnt done well. Its bad, especially when paired with a clunky movement system.

The game's main thing is just the sexual stuff. And I guess that's alright, but that makes all the quests a chore you give YOURSELF, because you can just go bone WITHOUT doing them. You don't actually need to do them to get the game's main selling point. Which makes them, in a sense, pointless.

If your actions and systems are rendered useless by other systems and actions just being objectively better, or by their effects being functionally useless in the FIRST place (i.e. parrying), maybe you have made a bad system, a bad video game. And again, to be fair, the goal isnt to make a normal video game. We're not walking in here expecting a polished Action RPG experience. We're going in expecting exactly what we get. e621 animations, with a neat interactive optional section tacked on.

For a porn game? Its pretty decent. For an action rpg, with exploration and quests and a plotline...? Not so much.

My recommendation depends on what you are coming here for. To ♥♥♥? or to have fun? If the former, yes. If the latter, no. I recommend, for the latter, Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. Its clunky in other ways, but the gameplay is ultimately, in my eyes, fun and cool.

I was gifted this to play with friends, but... honestly, there's just not a whole lot here. Its in EARLY development. Not even beta. So granted, that's to be expected. But its just... well, if you like endlessly repeating the same tasks over and over and only minor, arbitrary details like door codes change, but not the locations where you FIND said code, or mowing down endless crowds of anomalous zombies..? Well... This might be a good buy for you, especially with friends. But for me..? Well, I look forward to seeing what they release in the future. So, until the next major patch, it'll be gathering dust. But DEFINITELY a solid proof of concept.

Its pretty fun to play! It just needs MUCH more content. But again! Its not even in Beta stages yet. We're currently in the Alpha. And its nice! Guns are fun, the camera might be a little wibbly but its really not too much ,at least for me. I could do with the player movement speed being increased, but thats more of a personal thing.
