The beta was immaculate, if they simply released the beta with more guns and maps I would've ADORED this, but the gun play is different and feels off. It feels like they're trying to make my mnk play like a controller, the matchmaking is garbage my team is made of hellen keller, stevie wonder, and various other blind people who may or may not also be deaf. The unlock system is complete trash and the levels take FOREVER. Like 4k xp a match and I need like 30k to get level SEVEN? You're JOKING right?

Butt, the bad kind cause different anticheat that makes you go into your bios and enable secure boot. Giving that level of trust to ea makes me feel dirty.

Just go play humankind and enjoy how dumb you can make your ruler look. This is just Sid Meier's humankind, Computer Gaming World reported in 1994 that "Sid Meier has stated on numerous occasions that he emphasizes the 'fun parts' of a simulation and throws out the rest" must've lost that focus. Wild.

Man, thought maybe after years they would've fixed some of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about this game. Nah it's all still the exact same piss washed moneygrab. If you enjoy it more power to you. But if you want to get into it and play with a friend who has some time in the matchmaking just goes off the highest person not the average. So either have them get a smurf or prepare to get (hopefully) carried by them. Don't bother playing with randoms they claim a leaver penalty but they'll leave and the bots are actually just worse than not having the teammate at all. What do you expect from ubisoft though honestly?

I've seen a lot of people complain about this game saying it's the same or not where it should be. I personally don't think those are true if you launch FS22 and then FS25 you'll notice they've actually made some pretty massive improvements and while it OBVIOUSLY doesn't feel like a completely different game since it's still farming simulator, giants has certainly made what I would argue are numerous very noticeable improvements. The mods will absolutely make it better, but that's something that has always been the case. There are far more modders for then game than there are devs and that's why they support the modding community as well as they do. If you liked the previous games then you'll almost certainly love this one.

Keeping the review below as a reminder of the great treason attempted by sony. They have since gone back on it and so I will recommend this game it has plenty of bugs and glitches, but at the end of the day it's simply just fun. It's a good time with friends, alone, or with randoms. For the most part the community is amazing and really bonded (the massive spike in negative reviews should show that.)

I'll be honest, when the game works it is fun. That being said there are MANY bugs that are game breaking or near enough to that have been present since day 1 or very early on. Bots can shoot through rocks and other solid terrain you can't, they can see you through solid terrain and unless there's a modifier that reduces their visibility they can see you from distances FAR further than you can see them from (I'm talking like over twice your visibility range due to dust ect). They go back and fourth between being nice and gentle and considerate of the player base and get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ get better you're wrong, or in the case of now MANDATORY PSN linking or be banned that wasn't required on day 1 they speak before actually researching how many countries don't have access to psn or have it VERY HEAVILY restricted. I'm not in one of those countries but to not region lock it knowing you're going to make it mandatory later on is downright criminal. The community managers have said they don't want this for the game at AH it's JUST sony that wants it, and that they won't screw over those who can't link a psn account without breaking sony's tos, but that clearly is not up to AH, if it was then the account linking wouldn't be mandatory. I personally am on the fence over linking my accounts especially for one game, sony averages 2 big security breaches every year plus whatever smaller ones don't get out, are notoriously bad with customer service/care and are extremely greedy especially as of late. There is no benefit to linking accounts for us whatsoever there's already a kernel anticheat and playstation anticheat is a laughing stock. It ONLY benefits sony, looks good for shareholders and board meetings to have a big jump in accounts. I don't know if I want my steam account with all the money and time invested in it linked to something that is KNOWN for such bad security and the vast majority of the community feels a similar way in that if the linking could be waived until now simply don't make it mandatory. Just give people an armor like the pre-order one for linking it and give it to everyone on playstation if you want an incentive making/linking accounts.

Just get payday 2 during the winter sale. It's .99.

I want to recommend this game I REALLY REALLY want to. But I can't. At least not yet. With a progression system that tries to force specific play styles or weapon load-outs or, a meat grinder of cop killing to try and level up because it's ONLY challenge based progression ZERO xp for just completing a heist. Over 1 month post launch with ZERO communication on update plans/progress. They finally release an update no new content (of which the game is lacking severely in every department from masks, to heists, to guns) no in game currency, not even a hey sorry we took so long and didn't communicate. Release WEEK was a nightmare and truthfully it didn't get much better from there. When your first patch takes over a month, is ONLY bug fixes/crash fixes and is still over 1GB you didn't release a finished product. You released early access. I can't tell if it's a bit off more than they could chew, or if it's simply they don't care because they already got their money due to what comes off as very minimal effort put into making the game even a shell of what payday 2 is.

TLDR: Don't get it now even on sale wait till they hopefully make it an actual game. Until then play payday 2 it's just better.

Game is fun enough as long as you didn't want to perform any type of conquering or combat. If you've ever played victoria 2 then you'll understand what I'm about to say. EVERYTHING is now made into a crisis. You want to annex a puppet? Crisis. The war combat system makes no sense at all. I have quadruple the units of the enemy on a front and it's fully automated taking battles where it's 3 of mine vs 8 of the enemy or 1v1 or 5v8 or 3v5 or MAYBE occasionally ONE more. Why would you automate it and give it such horrendous decision making. In WHAT world would I attempt to attack with less with fewer units. I'll change my review if they change the combat in wars, there's literally zero player involvement and the ai for it simply doesn't work. The entire system doesn't. Paradox this was super hyped and long awaited and you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flopped with it. HARD.

The game itself and the company behind it leave MUCH to be desired, between a memory leak that has been an issue for years that was made WORSE with witch queen (hasn't been changed otherwise and is well known), the basic mechanics for vow AND the new raid being glitched on release and have gotten nothing but worse at this point not to mention the countless other glitches and exploits in the raid, the sherpa emblem that the tracking wasn't working for but worked fine on a third party program which instead of FIXING bungie gave up and just handed it out to anyone who completed the raid two times in a row now, a money hungry dlc policy where if you don't own the most recent dlc you might as well not play and each DLC costing as much as new game would at $60 and a season pass in EACH DLC that costs roughly $25 if memory serves, new subclass reworks that are terribly balanced with very few actually viable end game builds, terrible servers that will often stop responding, clunky gear changing UI that is slow and unresponsive when you need it most, a slow and unresponsive glitchy friends list in game where friends will show as offline one minute and online the next depending on how the game feels and not just on their chosen visibility, a terrible grind that is only made worse by the fact that in order to maximize progression you have to tolerate a terribly balanced and matchmade pvp system that many find little to no amusement out of, a system of obtaining gear and mods that unless you want to play and grind every day you'll never be able to fully achieve a build and even if you do you still may not as you can't always buy every mod, yet they CLAIM they don't want people to have a fear of missing out (fomo) on things as it's not their policy however they have ZERO intentions of changing a huge cause of fomo?, an enemy type PURELY designed to change what people play with consistently since it's play how you want to play as long as it's how they want you to incredibly limiting freedom of weapon and armor usage in higher end content instead of at least making all TYPES of weapons viable, some weapons that you're SUPPOSED to use for said champions are terrible because they balance weapons for pvp and pve the same and base it off of pvp statistics which about 30% or so of the player base ACTUALLY plays, and a blatant disregard for any attempt to separate the two and balance independently to allow any and every weapon type to actually be viable in high end content, a pve matchmaking that is a struggle as often it elects to just put you into things completely alone some of which are no issue and others are going to infuriate you and waste much of your time because they're not DESIGNED to be done alone, and a fear that half of the people it DOES decide to matchmake you with will be the ones that will sit, help none and occasionally move so they don't get kicked leaving you to carry them through whatever it is you are doing because you still want to finish what you were doing. Many of these issues are well known by bungie and have been for years and instead of fixing old issues they add in new and patch very little. They just a few days ago finally fixed a long standing and incredibly impactful glitch and a more recent but equally impactful one, their way of making up for one? Nothing just deal with it sucks to be you, the other? Oh you can get 2 of them at once for a slight discount too bad it was for a couple months causing you to miss out on somewhere around 8 of the essential materials good thing I can get these TWO though. I'd love to recommend this game I really would because it CAN be fun but I would need to see a MAJOR policy change from the parent company and some real big fixing getting done.

TL;DR: Terrible money grab policies, awful balance team, and zero playtest before patches released.

September 2nd 2021, two years(?) after the game came out and the frozen flame mission is still super buggy and unable to be completed unless you get lucky and a part that supposed to be programmed to happen happens. Carnan for me and many others just DOESN'T come back no matter how long you wait or shoot him in the back the mission is bugged for many and they have done nothing to fix it. Not only that but they have refused to even acknowledge it.
