a rather quick game, but it's super sweet and fun all the way through, and doesn't stretch out its welcome. you might not know where to go next at times, but i think that's okay, you'll find the way eventually, i got 80% completion in hard difficulty without little to no time spent searching for goodies.
my only criticism is performance/optimization, i repeatedly got super slow frames for extended periods (especially in certain environments), without my 4070M ever feeling the need to throw the fans on super sonic. don't know if the problem was integrated graphics being used (i hope that was not the case) anyway, that was definitely annoying.
definitely worth the modest price for what it is. a warm thank you to the devs for a great time is in order.

It's like the recent god of wars except you trade character and story depth for more engaging combat and cooler souls-like boss fights.

buy on full release and have fun for a couple hours.
loop gameplay is smooth, aside from that you really gotta want to like the game, there's really not that much there to appreciate from what i see, mostly "keep-busy-sprinkles" to veil the modest core, as is the roguelike standard. i personally think the weapons available in hades 1 were a lot more fun. dialogue cringe and contrast in boon power live up to the predecessor. the added variety with the olympus route is definitely nice though.

i come from risk of rain 2. it feels quite a bit harder to me currently, i am still just terrible at finding the teleporters and staying on top of the curve at 4 hours in, but i appreciate the challenge and my own lack of ability.
i can see there will be lots more to enjoy in the hopefully hundreds of loops i am yet to play through. and should i decide to let my journey with this game end sooner, that isn't going to take away from my high opinion of it. such beautiful visuals. pixel perfection.
if there was anything i was going to nitpick about, it would be my personal impression of some minor direction control/character orientation inconsistencies with mouse, but these things i can get used to and are hardly worth mentioning, who knows, maybe i'll enjoy the game even more without mouse controls.
i hope you will charge more for your next title, you guys totally deserve it. in my book, you're way up there on the dev s tier with team cherry and the likes. care and love ooze from this work, i'm so grateful i got to see it. blessings!

i are angery. complete bs this are. as soon as i start an online match the game goes on -1 fps, shortly thereafter the game either crashes or i'm back in lobby getting a bunch of overflow errors. looks like quality programming was done in this game. thanks for nothing.

unsatisfying campaign, but that is not a surprise. there are no real goals in this game, it's basically a sandbox made to not look like one. race rewards are arbitrary and disproportional to their difficulty.
drifting feels absolutely horrible and unnatural. if you want to drift well in this game it doesn't help to have an understanding of how drifting actually works, you need to learn the unique skill of playing this game. it is unique and uniquely rarted.
at least there is just this insane amount of available adjustments to choose for every car. offroad/road: car make vroom on one surface and respectively less vroom on the other. WOW. race/drift: basically just grip. very immersive to see your car slow down by like 100kmh just because you got onto the dirt. WOW.
i knew what i was in for, and i still refuse to be okay with how little this game has to offer from my point of view.

Without a doubt one of the best metroidvania games of all time
