Well, I can say it's hardly a game... you barely do any actual interactions with the characters beyond making a choice or two to get one of a few endings. I get it's a visual novel and it's not supposed to have a huge amount of gameplay, but at the same time there's so little you get to do. I still give it a positive rating despite this because it's not like the game doesn't have any love put into it: the characters are all lovable and not lovable in their own ways, and the dialogue is what you'd expect from ol' Andrew Hussie. If you're a big fan of Homestuck and want to add it to your collection it's a good addition, but if not I'd advise getting Pesterquest and playing that first or if you want to torture yourself like I did you can read all 8000+ pages of Homestuck for free!

Contrary to what you might think, this game is anything but Mario Kart, and that's totally fine! The problem I see with so many kart racing games today is that they attempt to clone Mario Kart, resulting in something that feels cheap. This is not one such case. Overall, I find this game to be a lot of fun and is worth at least trying out!

This game got its start in 2004 in South Korea under the title "Crazyracing Kartrider" and was met with massive success. The game would sprout a competitive E-Sports presence in South Korea as well and is one of the only kart racers designed to be a competitive game as opposed to others out there, which are geared more towards casual fun and a broad audience. I got my start in the franchise during the COVID-19 Pandemic playing the original app version of Rush+ and sank more hours... and money... into it before eventually calling it quits in 2022 due to reasons I'll talk more about later.

THE GOOD

* It's free!
* It's cross-platform (At the time of review, it was available for PC, XBox One, PS4, PS5, and Mobile. It also works on Steam Deck, too! No word on a version coming out for Switch, though...)
* Kart Customization! It's not as in-depth as some games, but still in-depth enough to pull off some nice designs!
* Track designs are really fun, and some of the tracks in Speed Mode are ridiculously challenging, pushing you to your absolute limits! Hope you got loose fingers and an attention span longer than that of a goldfish!
* Item mode is fun, with some items, like Magnets, serving odd purposes that give you an edge over your opponents if you use them right! It's fun to use the Magnet at the right time to be shot forwards and up and over a ramp!
* The mechanics are hard to nail down at first, but once you get a hang of it it can be addicting to play!

CONS
* GRAND PRIX TAKES FOREVER. Most of the time I'm sitting for 5-10 MINUTES just to get into a match that lasts around 90 seconds. Waiting in casual(?) matches takes 20-30 seconds at most during busy hours, which is still kinda long but not unbearable or irritating.
* GRAND PRIX IS TOO PUNISHING. Usually, if you're not in the top 3, you will lose points. This makes it frustrating to play because, especially if you play in a room full of more experienced players, you may go multiple races in a row doing nothing but losing points... even if you placed 4th. Many races I've lost were very very close, and to lose 50 points because you were .2 seconds behind 3rd is just infuriating.
* NO DUO/SQUAD GRAND PRIX??
* LATENCY. The most frustrating thing, regardless of game mode, is inconsistent latency. There have been matches that I have lost because connections between players is unstable and I'm struck in the head by some Joe Schmoe who spawns right in front of me... in a game about precision driving, stuff like this can throw your driving lines off and even cost you a race!

Despite my frustrations with the game at this point in time, I truly and honestly hope the team can fix some of these issues sooner than later. I love this game and I've followed it since it was announced back in 2019. If you're bored and want something to play that can get the adrenaline pumping, this is a great game to at least try out!

Ever wanted to mutate dogs into 50-legged creatures with seven tiny heads and an extremely large tail? How about one that's so long and skinny it's physically incapable of walking? Better yet, how about a couple of dogs with no legs? Gameplay is super simple and it's a great time killer, would definitely recommend without a doubt! Just fiddle around for a while and see what happens!

Amazing game to pass the time with! Doesn't require internet to run, and it's always fun to try to fix the chaos you create! The only enemy in this game is yourself and your flexibility!

It's a mind game that challenges your hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, and overal tolerance of the occasional BS. Worth getting, especially for those who like fast-paced mind games!

This is a very buggy, sluggish game. The developers refuse to address or fix the issues with the game. In all, this seems like nothing more than a shameless cash grab my grandma would by for me.

I would highly reccomend this game. I have never seen a game quite like this one. It is very creative and, while the game may be frustrating to play the first time you fire it up (and that the free version has little to nothing to play around with), it keeps you on your toes and makes you want to play some more. The game is a truly different experience that kinda gives off a Road Rash or Cel Damage vibe, and I feel like the biggest drawback is the fact that there's no community workshop or DLC. I feel like this game could benefit greatly off of either of, or both of, these things.

Early Access Review
It's a very fun game, even though I suck at it. I love it and certainly reccomend it. There are a few bugs that need to be ironed out, and I'd like to know how to make custom content (because I apparently don't know how to access it), but those are things that I found problems for ME. This game is still in Early Access, but it's certainly one of those free titles you'd be disappointed to miss if your into games like F-ZERO or WipEout (which is what this game is actually based off of)!

Wacky physics, sandbox shenanigans, and a whole lotta explosions- what more could anybody ask for?
