In real life we want to save the planet with less polution............ In this game we rebuild from........ nothing..... you get dropped on a empty planet with nothing but resources to find, many have gone before you, ships have crashed, secrets are hidden (we are not the first on this planet).

It goes slow starting with nothing but survival and building, start collection ore's, build machines (upgrade them for faster/better growth) and start building a climate, you can follow a sort of storyline between the survaival and building, or just build and survive and create the perfect climate.

If you like survival games with a building style mode........ this is your game to play and grants many hours of playtime!

This game is really a gem, if you are into "ghost hunters" or "ghost adventures" this is really a game you must get!

Besides being early acces, minor bugs and having only 2 locations and 7 different investigations you can do at the time of this review: it really is a great game! 2

If you are in the Phasmophobia scene: this is really other gameplay where you really have to search and find(most of) the evidence and it does not get thrown in your lap like phasmo, patience is a thing you really do need just like real paranormal investigations!

For now: This game really is in a current good state and i am really looking forward to what more there will be coming with the new locations, if you are in to the ghost hunting scene (not phasmo style) this is a game you must have.

What happens if you put all the best features of many survival games in 1 game? You get the game: Icarus

People who are in to the survival game genre: this is a must have, it has a great offline mode to play solo but also a great coop, this game can become very addictive once you learn the basics.
Many survival hard survival games have a huge learning curve, luckily this game does not and it is very basic as long as you keep track of your stats.

Compliments for the Rocketworkz team for creating this awesome survival game, besides all the features/mechanics the maps you play on just look amazing!

When you like a mixture of "theme hospital" and "House flipper" this is the game you want to play! become a good landlord, take care of your tenants and start building your own empire with Tenants the game.

12 hours in and noticed it is very addictive, select missions to earn more money, those jobs are cleaning/re-decororating houses, taking care of other landlords houses (tenants) when they go on vacation.
Building an empire takes time but this is a fun way to build you are always busy doing jobs if you select them.

For a "house flipper mixed theme hospital" fan: this will be up your street (even as early acces!)

Little update: 10 Hours in the game!


The devs released the 2nd update and to me it seems even more bugs ocure at the moment with AI during missions, after pulling my hair for the 6th time during several missions tonight i have decided to uninstall it.

A) It is playable but really needs to much cleaning up bugs and adding more missions, they even made a flooded garage mission what they probaly did not test properly as you go to a car port and not a garage (below sea level).

B) With the new update they pushed you on the development branch, i want to be on a stable version (even in this badly playeble state), i did not ask for it! if i wanted it i would have signed up for it!

C) Played many missions but there are actualy only a handfull of different types of missions and mostly on the same locations, this gets boring.

D) Well it is Aerosoft and they released many "emergency" simulators.......even though i must admit this time it is not a direct copy of notruf 112(1) as they added a lot more features and did some positive upgrades on the fire, the work that needs to be done is to much for a small team that is working on it!

E: They simply overpromised and underdelivered, the worst thing you can do as a game company, and many companies found this out the hard way the past few years! (even AAA games), be open and fair to your community, some would rather have a game delayed than a "bad state" to play with.

At full release state (not on development branch): dont buy it (yet!) reasons:
-
1a) This "full release state" has way to many bugs (should have been a EA where you can expect this, but Aerosoft does not work with EA).
1b): a after release interview they made after the first patch between the ceo and producer(in german of course!) states they knew the game was in a "bad shape", this interview should have been done BEFORE release so people would have know the state it was in!
2) they made promises for the game at release but still have to deliver (and are still making promises!).
3) The fire station/vehicels are a exact copy of notruf 112 (1), although they do have a new good looking inventory system, and some new features that (if they work correctly) are pretty good.
4) The new command section works good from time to time but AI does not do anything by itself anymore, we all know the blue stuff goes on the red hot stuff and you need a water source for it, the AI just staticly stays in the truck waiting for orders (if you got 4 vehicles on scene that can be a challange).
5) Luckily there is a chair at the station, but doing training at the fire station to learn the vehicles during shift is a no go.....unless you dont want to be called out for calls.
6) AI is very clunky with driving and walking around.
7) probaly a lot more things to say (see other reviews) but with 3 hours in, well i made my decision to put it aside untill a much better state.
8) communication from devs is mostly in german on social media, while they got a big community outside the german country also (they even translated german voices to english chat!).
9) Aerosoft is known for copy and paste with these types of games and than give the new title some new features, this seems also the case in this game (please proof me wrong!), Notruf 112 (1) was in a bad shape when it got released but not even as bad as this was at release!


Is it unplayble: NO you can defintily play this game, but just get in your head that you are playing a "early acces" game (even though they dont call it that way) that still has the need for a lot of fixes.

1) Notruf 112 (1) owners get a nice discount (firefighter game fans, like me, will buy it anyway)
2) new smoke/fire (spreading) system, just had a few calls with fire but this got a postive review from me, especialy after the fire a scan with the thermal camera and find ember hotspots.
3) Sit on a chair to skip time between calls.
4) there sure will be some other good points but for me at the moment the bad things still massivly overrule the good things.
5) in the last interview the CEO and producer were talking about full support for months if not years........ i do hope they keep the promis because this game still has a long road ahead with fixes.

Survival is hard and this game goes extreme on that part!

Well for starters: the "first look" was a few years ago and everyone got excited because it realy looked very promising....... than the silence came by........ with after a long time a post on social media that the game was still full in development but no definite ETA on delivery, untill a little while ago they got very active and started releasing screenshots and even a release date!

Now they have delivered! And how! In my many years as a gamer and playing almost every firefighter simulator game available this might be the best game so far! Fire/smoke behavior, water system (besides hoses glitching a bit), ventilation, backdrafts, roll overs but also the fire and the extinguishment is the best i have seen so far in all the games (but could use a bit of more steam).

Is the game pefect: yes and no!

Yes the game is just awesome to play, it also is not a 100% reflection of real life firefighting (that will almost be impossible to create), but will this game give you the the closest to real firefighting expierence? YES, but it is all about firefighting and don't expect vehicle accidents or EMS calls or any other sort of calls.

The missions are great to play, the map is a very nice map to play on, the view is amazing, downside: you only drive to the incident and than see the map as there is no free-roam.

The AI is amazing and act on their own: yes you heard it right: give them a order to go near a fire with a hose and the will put the blue stuff on the red stuff! great work on that part by the devs, they do need some fire extinguisher lessons (thats what they do not work with).

For now it is a 4 player COOP, probaly because of the fire (incident) sizes and optimisation of the game, but the game is in COOP with friends very fun to play but you do need to be on voicechat (discord/teamspeak) as there is no VOIP ingame.



For now: yes there was no early acces and there was a "full release", some bugs/glitches are being found by players and reported but the best thing is: the devs want feedback and even created a wishlist on their discord where votes can be put in for certain wishes to be discussed by the dev-team for a possible future expansion of the game, lets hope that will be happening but do remember: 1 person likes things the A way and some like things the B or even C way, they cant make everybody happy!

For now i am very happy with the game, and the price....... well i was amazed by the low price (expected a lot more) and fully worth its money!

If you like ghost adventures, ghost hunters and any other paranormal investigation TV show this game should definitely be in your library, early access but at this stage it really is fun (and scary) to play! Gather evidence solo or with friends (coop is more fun), but don't stay to long after reaching the goals, even the paranormal world has a limit with your presence and they can hunt you also! Stay safe out there!

Even though this is real early acces this game has a lot of potentional! its made by a firefighter and with that you can see the details of the flames/smoke/steam! But of course a lot has to be done for a full game, thats why it is (real)early acces, but like i said: it has great potentional if the developer(and his support team) keep this up!
Will it be ready in 1 year? probaly not, but it is already in a very good playable version! last week this game was unkown to me, and in my list of many firefighter sims this went to the top3 firefighter simulators after just 2 hours of gameplay, i hope this stays his way and it keeps its spot in the top 3!

Even though i had my doubts in the early days of release i must say the development team is doing their job by fixing a lot of bugs and also upgrading features.

What i can say is from all the earlier "firefighter simulators" this 1 really is on top of my list for now, yes it is not perfect but yet we get MP soon, mod support and so on!

Personaly at the release date i would have called this game release "betá"/"early acces" and not full release (yet), the future for this game for now is still looking good and i don't know if the developers got suprised by the amount of sales numbers what made them support (ongoing development) this game even more.

Me and my son really love this game, its not 100% perfect (i am a firefighter of course) but like i said it is on top of my list firefighter simulators and i hope to see a new firefighter simulator in the future from Crenetic with even more simularity to the real job!
