This game, while fun, is terribly optimized for PC. For some reason I've had no issues with the original version of this game, but with the remake I've encountered numerous crashes and weird texture glitches. In addition, the game forces you to go through 2K's awful launcher for some reason. It's not a big inconvenience, but I hate having to install more things on my PC than I need. Just play the original

Very fun game. I love the music, the artstyle, and funny writing. It kind of comes with the nature of it being a dice heavy game, but this game is very RNG dependent. Entire runs can be lost by a bad dice roll, so if you're someone who gets tilted by RNG this game is not for you. You certainly won't be able to take this game as seriously as other roguelikes because of this, but it's still a very fun roguelike with some absolute banger fight songs. I'd recommend this game.

For me, this game is everything I like. A funny british narrator, an interesting and witty story, tight controls with good platforming, beautifully created world that really leaves a lot to the imagination, lots of game mechanics but not so many that it overwhelms you, and also interesting, challenging and unique levels. I do however have a few small complaints with this game. the last chapter felt rather repetitive and annoying, almost as if it was crammed in at the end. I wouldn't have minded if they ended a chapter earlier. I'd have been satisfied. Also, switching between lots of characters could be a bit tedious, especially with the last chapter where there were five of the EXACT same character on screen at all times... Amazing game, I'd pick it up.

Amazing game with some of the most fun gameplay I've experienced in a while. This game is pretty hard so I'd keep that in mind and also you are in charge of your "checkpoints". A little pro tip: SAVE A LOT!! If you die you go back to your last save point so save every chance you get. overall I'm loving this game so far and hope to continue loving it as I continue on the currently amazing campaign.

Edit:
I finished this game a while ago.... twice... it was just that good :). This game is definently worth every penny and is in my opinion one of the best games I have ever played. No doubt.

It's basically Dark Souls mixed with Pokemon mixed with Final Fantasy mixed with Uncharted. This game is GOTY EVERY YEAR! Even years when it wasn't out! Back in 1776 when our glorious country was founded. Our forefathers had a few ideals in mind for basic rights every U.S.A citizen was entitled to: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. Obviously, they were referring to Bad Rats. Bad Rats grants life to new born babies. Every time this holy game is opened, a baby is born and his life is amazing because he's part Bad Rats. Bad Rats grants liberty, demonstrating that you MUST rebel against your overlords (the cats) by throwing balls at chainsaws to kill your foes in comical and poorly animated ways. It is a game with many unique metaphors and representations to truly drive the point of Liberty (and freedom) across to all who play it. And as for the pursuit of happiness, I can say that I have never smiled more than when I played this game. Seeing a baby kitten has nothing on the smile this game will create for you. In short, Bad Rats is the holiest of games founded by our forefathers. If you do not play the greatest game ever made, then you are worse than a terrorist and are NOT welcome in our country. Praise 'Murica 12/10. There is no light in the world that compares to the glorious, shining star that is Bad Rats.

For decades, man has wondered the ultimate question... "Am I smarter than a 5th grader?". Well thanks to the amazing people at THQ (which shut down shortly after making this abomination) we finally can know where we stand in the ultimate hierarchy. Running on the top-notch "playground engine" with some of the most amazing next gen graphics I've seen in decades, this game is hands-down a classic that will stand the test of time. Now besides the graphics, let's discuss the story becuase I consider the story to be the most amazing part. You play as a nameless man who has just survived a plane crash that landed him on an abandoned island. After searching for help, your character is graphically raped and then beaten to near death by the satanic girl "Amanda" (also, Amanda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUCKS at geography). Afterwards you are held captive and tied up in a fake studio forced to play the game of these childrens malicious leader "Jeff Foxworthy". Everytime you win you get 1 million dollars in monopoly money and should you manage to amass 10 billion dollars in 100 hours, you'll be spared and allowed to leave the island (after the rapes of course). It's a truly dark story line for its time and one that has given me nightmares for months now. There are over TWO multiple endings including: Winning, Losing, Dropping out with "X" amount of monopoly cash, and losing but walking "home" to your torture cage with 25,000 dollars in monopoly money. With so many endings, a deep and dark story line, and some of the best graphics I've ever seen, this game hands down deserves an 11/10 and is a game that will continue to haunt the dreams of grown men for years to come.

A simple way of describing this game would be to say that it's like Final Fantasy.... but with South Park. Although seriously, for a fan of the series like myself this game was stupendous, packed full of comedy and overall a great experience, my only problem with the game is that I found the campaign short and easy, taking around 15 hours to complete and I never once died plus I had the game set to hard. Still, if you're just looking for a lot of laughs and a good time, buy this game. If you're looking for a challenging RPG with a rich story, then get outta here and go buy a different game.
