I dunno, am samurai. is good.

So I've completed the game, it ran mostly fine, every now and then the fps would drop for a bit and it would feel all stuttery.

The initial shader compilation is completely broken, mine took 45 minutes, and if you update your gpu drivers it has to be done all over again.

Anyway that being said I had a fairly decent experience playing this if you ignore the above points, however judging by the steam forums, and these reviews, even my less than ideal play through was leagues better than what some people are experiencing.

the game itself is one of the best, but I can't recommend it until it has been fixed. If that day comes, buy this.

Edit: Seems to be pretty much fixed, go wild.

ladies and gentlemen, 343 has finally done it. This is a good halo game, not just good, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic.

This feels like halo in ways that 4 and 5 don't. if you miss the old halo, you will love this.

it isn't perfect, several features are delayed, namely forge, co-op, and the ability to replay campaign missions. the battle pass/store and progression are pretty lackluster (but thankfully 343 has been making improvements every week, for example we're getting a slayer playlist and performance based challenges next week). Performance is a little wonky, I get 30% or so more performance in MP vs SP. there's an odd frame pacing issue. It also doesn't look as good as it should given it's performance either. it still looks pretty good, just not amazing.

Regardless, once the missing features are in, and the multiplayer issues addressed, this halo absolutely deserves to be listed among the bungie halos.

It does the vr things.

Easily the best VR game out there. The gameplay is simple, succinct, supremely satisfying, and addictive.

If you like rhythm games give this a go.

I've enjoyed what I've played. That being said, the game is definitely a bit half baked. there is very little in the way of progression beyond more inventory. And you learn all of the game's mechanics in the first few hours. Also, planets are not different in a meaningful way, its the same land, look for points of interest and mine something valuable.

Then there is the aspect of the non existant Multiplayer, which was hinted at several times by the devolopers. Maybe it proved to be technically infeasable, or perhaps they decided to scrap it since as they said it was highly unlikely for you to encounter another player... Either way, its not in the final game, and that is a disappointment.

It will not have lasting appeal for me. Its not a bad game, its just not a fully realized game.

This game is digital crack. Buy it.

I kicked my puppy, it made me sad.

10/10 Would Hideo Kojima Game again.
