Early Access Review
Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. A game I stumbled upon in my Discovery Queue due to Cities: Skylines. And, oh boy, did I fall in love with this retro-styled Eastern Bloc city builder. It's just that good.
Getting the bearings of this game is not very easy, there is a metric f*cktonne of micromanagement (clue's in the name, you have to manage Workers and Resources to be successful), but the game offers A LOT right off the bat (unlike some other games I happen to have played, yes C:S I AM looking at YOU) and its still in the Early Access. Some things are still WiP but that is to be expected, to be fair.
After you do get the bearings of the game, it becomes interesting. You can finally say to yourself "Hey, I'm getting this right." Of course, you'll still make mistakes (e.g. trains still bug me, trains confuse themselves to be honest), but that is how you learn, right?
The styling of the game is very much reminiscent of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, the soundtrack is just splendid. From choirs and orchestras to what seems to me is Russian italo disco. You can see that folks over at 3DVision had a Cold War fever dream of "happiness of all mankind" and made themselves a goal to develop a game around it.
Is the game worth the 25€ asking price? Pretty much yes, like I said, offers more than some other games do in their base form. But you'll get a better deal if you wait to buy it when it's on sale.
All in all, this game has major potential to be the best game of the city building genre (at least in my opinion), and I hope folks over at 3DVision don't screw this one up

Early Access Review
This is an interesting game if you're a car enthusiast. Sandbox mode allows you to create all sorts of cars, from economic turbocharged I3 hatchbacks to 1500whp RWD panel vans. If you don't know what part does what and what it offers (which you honestly should by now if you like cars), you always have the internet. Game has a nice car body offerings, but could always have more. Modding community is small, but the modders are, as seems, quite experienced in their work. The game is in Early Access, which means it has a lot of potential at the moment. Let's hope our Australian friends from Camshaft Software make this game even better, interesting and fun throughout the years and months.

Edit: Original review was made when I have put 68.2 hours. This edit was written when I had exactly 10 times that. Which means that I am very satisfied with the game as it is, even in early development. In the meantime, a lot of stuff I never expected have been added. At the end of 2021, turbocharging got reworked, interiors have been added in the stock game (a thing that WAS NOT promised in the beginning but got added because of massive popularity of mods that added interiors and body-cutting fixtures), body moulding, 3D fixture placement... Man, this game progressed a long way. And it is only going to get better. I CANNOT get enough of this game. As a car guy, I wish every car guy experiences this game. Youll love it, theres no doubt about that. Theres going to be more and more mods. Endless possibilities. Only limit is your imagination (and maybe your free time), but its a good game that doesnt disappoint.
