Bordelands couldn't have a better sequel than this. Not only everything wrong in the first game got fixed in the second, but the game itself enjoys from a much superior and well-developed atmosphere, character and story development and universe presentation that ends up enriching the whole series overall, making the franchise quite solid in a way Borderlands 1 otherwise couldn't and in a similar way of what Assassin's Creed 2 achieved from AC1. The gameplay also got fine-tuned from the already very good first game and pretty much everything from the graphics to music shows Gearbox Software poured their heart and devotion into the game to make it stand out as a truly masterpiece. Being able to experience all this together with friends is just an incredibly handy extra.
Meet new and old characters alike, explore gigantic and wonderful scenarios and unveil secrets to both Borderlands 1 and 2 plots that will change the future of Pandora. This is everything a Borderlands fan could ever ask.

Cooperative multiplayer at its best, this game is as good as co-op with friends can get. Add in the possibility to specialize yourself into its tower-defense branch or keep your roots with the third-person hero action and you have a game for anyone to fall in love with. Don't get fooled: It has MUCH more depth than it may look like at first sight with it's cartoonish, colorful graphics. And chances are you'll be completely sucked into the game's addicting grinding and strategic value when you find that out by yourself! Grab some friends and a copy for each one, learn strategies and discover outcomes and possibilities together and experience a kind of social fun that you'll never find elsewhere!

One of Tim Schafer's so-called masterpieces, you might outright think the game is plain weird and uninspired in its first few hours. But try giving it enough time (preferably to get to the later half of the game) in order to build it's flawless humor and personality and you might find yourself playing one of the best 3D platformers you've ever played. Everything is pretty much perfectly balanced, the cutscenes won't bore you up or feel too extended and the game overall never feels short, cheap or simply bad. And for only $9.99 (or even less if you got it through the Humble Indie Bundle), it's simply a steal!
