I love reading epic Fantasy novels or series, as well as Sci-Fi and other types of good fiction. Here are some examples:
* Stephen R. Donaldson - The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
* Ursula Le Guin - The Earthsea Trilogy

A friend asked me to post more details on my music career ...

Along the way I've rubbed elbows with Dave Brubeck, Lou Rawls, Dwight Yoakam, Edwin Starr.

I earned a living as a musician from the age of 15 through 30. The band I was in during the first 5 years was The Soul System, covering artists like James Brown and The Temptations. Our singer was Freddie Cunningham whose current blues band is Root Doctor

* Hammond B-3 Organ connected to a Leslie rotating speaker cabinet

Here are some music genres I've played:

Big Band (MSU Dance Band)

If you're curious about the evolution of song making, here is a link that includes a brief text description I put together called "Anatomy of a song", followed by 3 evolving audio versions of the composition in chronological order.
