Subnautica is one of the greatest survival games out there. The world is terrifying and hostile, yet beautiful at the same time. If you're interested in this game, I would recommend going in with as little knowledge as possible. There's a lot more to this game than there initially appears to be, and discovering those mysteries is an incredible experience.

If you have even a passing interest in survival/crafting games, I highly recommend Subnautica.
