Early Access Review
Great game, really give the necromancer vibe of rising an huge arm to fight for you.
It was still ways to go into Early Access, but already a very fun game to play for ones that enjoy the idea of the necromancer rising minions (your horde) to fight for you, roaming the map and bringing chaos and destruction.

Aparently the demo mostly negative balance is because people that had problem to log early in the open beta, so take it with a grain of salt I suppose.

For myself I can tell I been having a blast with the game, way more than I though any PvP game would, and been holding me way more than any other PvP game I played in a while.
Edit: Original review Imentioned had not seen much of the PvE yet, make sense since there's no PvE, only a extraction PvPvE, some may enjoy, not really my thing so did not poke much more after finding it out.

In short, game was real fun PvP combat, did not really find any bugs or problems so far, so for a open beta it is currently doing real good, better than some F2P stuff around.

It's painfully disappointing the distance between the excellent base game and the DLCs, base game story was awesome, keeping me enjoying it every moment, the DLC was a spit of story there, and I'll say, it's a cool one, but so little.
The difficulty gap is a huge jump, that bit is actually okay ish, I feel it go someway off from the gameplay we had the entire game, but I can see it being a extra challenging thing for the people wanting a bigger challenge, so can't say a full positive, but would not fully call it a negative as well.

It's just really disappointing considering HOW GOOD the base game is, how... cheap the DLCs feel, specially when all 3 are just boss arenas, almost no story to enjoy (like 5 min maybe from memory to be watched each DLC.), and the unlocking of boss class gifts (powers) getting locked behind challenges that at times are not really fun.

I love Code Vein, been in deep love with it from the moment I started playing and only more as I went on, loved the story, the gameplay, the difficulty level, challenging enough for me but not too bad.
Then I got to the DLCs, there's quite a bit of a jump in the skill gap from the base game to the one to fight the DLC bosses, but as much as I struggled, was still fun in a way, I wanted to unlock he DLC classes too, so I went on.

You know what is NOT fun? A challenge requiring you to "evade" 5 attacks without being hit to unlock one of the class parts, "evade" being something illusive that don't count magic/ranged attacks, but only physical melee ones, and on a boss that do mostly magic/ranged ones, and with a hitbox that work in a wonky way were half of time you don't even can tell if the game considering the direction you dodge as you evading the attack.

I love this game, but been over 12 hours, only walking in boss arena and dodging stuff, not even caring to attack, actually resisting the impulse to because is not needed and would only add more risk, and while for quite a bit actually I someway enjoying the challenge, 12 hours in and so much mechanics ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ keeping me from getting the 5 damn evasions, it's starting to make me hate it.

Look the DLCs aren't all bad, the story bit is very little, in a game where story was one of the best points, it could been done way better, but was a cute little nice bit the little story put on memories there, the boss fights are a big jump in skill gap from the friendly difficulty of the base game, but still doable to be fun. What is not fun and pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is having part of a class unlock being locked behind challenges that can be painfully hard to get, both from skill gap but also just mechanical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
(And let me add, I'm okay, even cool with the challenges, it's a cool thing for people that appreciate those and want a bigger challenge, but basic stuff like parts of the class should not be put behind that tier of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.)

A relaxed souls like, the combat and gameplay being great with a really well made story, making it to me a really easy to recomend game for pretty much anyone.

Combat wise I did enjoy way more the a bit more casual and relaxed combat, giving still a good challenge at many of the bosses, and even at some trash packs of mobs, but almost never getting too tiring.
The gameplay with diferent classes and skills to unlock, both passives and actives ones, letting you customise your character to the way you happens to enjoy the most fighting and dealing with combat situations, while always giving something to work on if you enjoy always have something new to be working towards, but also letting anyone who not be able to just pick what want to unlock and use, and keep a single build for most of the game.

For people looking for a ultra hard darksouls like maybe the combat may end being someway too easy, but for anyone not going too try hard hardcore at it I'm sure it can be still enjoyable, while as well letting more casual players still have lots of fun, as someone that always found the idea of souls like interesting, but also usually a bit too tiring because dificulty, I found in Code Vein the perfect souls game, that got me hooked on it playing nonstop from start to end, and ready to engage NG+ for extra challenge and to see a diferent ending.

Still playable worldwide, only if all Helldivers games were still like that.

We dive together or not dive at all.

Don't forget that message and the meaning of it.

While is someway simple graphics wise, it's a awesome diablo like, the greek thematic fit SO well, gameplay is REAL good as well, with the character possibilities letting you customise your char by choosing from two diferent skill trees that let you personalize quite a bit how you want to play your character, on top of the many diferent items, played the heck of it on original launch (You can import your characters from original edition and use here.), and at deciding to play again the Anniversary Edition having lots of fun, can't wait to see the new expansions.

Sony said PSN would not be obligatory anymore, but since only increased the number of countries that are banned from the game, can't say what the current BS happening, but this now show genuine good faith of sony, be waiting things calm down just to push PSN again or whatever reasons they have for it.

We dive together or not dive at all!

Love that game, but deeply hate BS, don't sneak changes in ToS months after launch Sony. Don't do changes like that to a game without even consulting the game creators.

Love Helldivers 2, love to Arrowhead as well, bit can't support it till Sony get their bs together, this was the most painful of asking a refund I had, just cause so much I love that game, please Sony, let me give you my money again, do your customers right and so will us.

PS: Even have psn already linked, but can't support the bs.

Original review:

One of the best games I played recently, a simple concept, land on a hostile planet and kill many enemies, but the gameplay of that simple concept when done properly is enough to keep you having fun for hours and hours!
The different levels of difficulty along the two different races of enemies give a bit of a difficulty curve for everyone, may you prefer something a bit more easy and casual, or wanting to go ultrahard and suffer for every inch of progress.
A easy recommendation for everyone!

It's a incredible fun game, very worth the price!
Only reason I would say I ever wondered if should recommend this to others or not was when (Mostly jokely) wondered maybe should not to save others from losing many many hours and seeing sun suddenly being up, and feeling your wrist hurting because you suddenly notice you went for like 8 hours in one sit without even noticing it!
But yeah it not worried of that, be sure to get it and give a try!

Still early in the game, but can already say that it's a game that can be enjoyed by many, even if probably not for everyone.
For people like me that enjoy roaming and exploring around, and doing random things just for the fun with small objectives it's a full plate, plenty of ways to cross terrain to try and find out, random packages to deliver and so so, I barely scraped the early story and went already some 20 hours maybe just roaming around having fun doing so.
That said, for people that just want to see a interesting story, I can easily see someone playing more focused on the main objectives and going thro the story be in a slow or faster pace and enjoying the game a lot, a friend of mine that notoriously don't enjoy roaming and "wasting time" was one of the persons that had tell me good things about, what make me be pretty sure a lot of people even some usually not into this kind of slow paced story game would enjoy Death Stranding a lot.

Now the only people I would probably not recomend if anyone wanting a combat focused game or action packed, don't take me wrong there's action moments running from dangerous situations or even fighting your way in, but it's more a eventual thing than the role, or at least is my feeling from it.
