Project Zomboid successfully manages to scratch that itch that DayZ left me with years ago.

I would say that I wish I had bought this game sooner, but looking at previous builds, I appear to have jumped in at just the right time.

The gameplay is fun, as long as you're like me and consider living out your last days on Earth fighting mindless husks over the last can of beans at the super market fun.

The developers have very clearly poured a lot of love into this game. It may be tagged as early access, but as it stands, it feels complete, and then some. Highly recommend.

Stellaris is one of the games that I constantly return to, time and time again. The gameplay itself is *stellar*, but the stories that the game (and your imagination) plays out between different factions vying for control of the cosmos are what makes this game worth your money.

Compared to Civilization’s historical empires, the ability to fully create your own stellar empire with it’s own history can’t be beat.

Now, there are an excessive amount of DLCs - some that, after playing with them, feel essential to the game, and some that… Well, you get the picture.

My best advice? Buy those DLCs one at a time, on sale. Oh, and neutron bombardment.

Throw rusty bolts at anomalous gravitational fields in order to retrieve mysterious radioactive artifacts that help you carry copious amounts of bread and vodka

Amateur ghost hunt:
Stand in doorway for 10 minutes
Creep into house and drop your flashlight due to terror after a cup moves slightly to the left

Professional ghost hunt:
Kick down front door
Sprint into house wielding a candle and challenge ghost to a fight

It sucks
