This game is like being in a abusive relationship, even with all the warnings, you kind of just keep coming to it. I think it's honestly cause we cherish the memories we make to the game, and while they were nice, seeing BHVR not care to the highest degree is just sickening.

Look at this game's history and tell me kindheartedly that BHVR cares about this game. It is some of the most blatant / disgraceful way to treat a playerbase and this is 101 of what NOT to do when it comes to taking care of your game, ESPECIALLY during new IP releases. Right now I'm referring to The Walking Dead chapter which is without a doubt, the BUGGIEST DBD has ever been and quite honestly in a unhealthy state right now.

Currently survivors are able to HALF their progress with generators, meaning there is little to no chance for killer's to even do anything. This is done with a exploitable perk that allows you to have infinite charges on a toolbox which speeds the process of completing gens and escaping. Now what was BHVR's response to this? "it's not exploitable or a bug and will not be killswitched". Kill switching is disabling something from the game because it is unhealthy for the game and can easily be abused. With this in mind, they have only ever used the killswitch a handful of times, but NOT during a time in which one side can literally HALF their progress? Not acceptable to any degree and is honestly my final straw.

This isn't even the start of the bugs, this newest TWD chapter is riddled with bugs and exploits. It's gotten so out of hand that many content creator's can't even go a day without addressing a single one. This game is quite possibly the most sad for excuse cash grab that wants to grab new players by attaching new IP's with itself. Fortnite is an example that does the same thing, but at least with Fortnite, they have been able to keep a constant playerbase with things they keep asking for, Epic games unironically LISTENS at times.

I'm not kidding when I say this, with the 1K hours I have on this game, I hate this game and hate everyone that's behind the desks at BHVR. I've played this game so much because it's one of the only few horror games that grasps IP's I love, and to see this game be butchered over and over is saddening to see. This patch though has been the final straw and while I will most likely be back because as I said before, it's like being in abusive relationship, I'll always keep coming back. With this in mind I literally cannot recommend this game in ANY of it's states because of how dumb and incompetent BHVR are. They won't listen and have a history for not listening to the player base.

This game is like a combination of old COD lobbies and Wizard 101, and it's honestly one of the best thing humans have created. Even better than a grilled cheese sandwich.

I like when the bunny man is invisible for more than 2 seconds after exiting a security door. Just about gives me the same reaction of wanting to punch my monitor like when I get jump scared in a FNAF game. Very lore accurate chapter BHVR.

Let me start off by saying this game practically data farms your computer. Know that as you keep playing the game, for some god forsaken reason, it saves your player log. Mine managed to build up to 5gb worth with only 10 hours of playtime. Playing the equivalent of 1 hour takes up about 500 mb of your main drive's storage, so you have to manually go out of your way to delete it. There is literally no reason for the devs to keep this information and practically take up space on your computer when it's a game that keeps resetting runs with no transfer except a tiny crown on a player.

This game is poorly made with some of the worst game design's that even a single person could make a better game. It amazes me that this is run by a team of people, yet they make some of the most unbalanced, nonsensical concept's for a game that doesn't even touch it's predecessor. Late game in this game is nonexistent, as it relies on you to pretty much not make a dent to any of your items, and if manage to break most of your profit, there's no progression. Why the hell do we get punished because the maps are so small and we have no time to save the items we lose because of this trash layout. Have a cart full of items? Great, army full of gnome's come and break it without you having a time to react. Hallways are so tight it makes it impossible to save a item when you have a monster approaching you.

Now the physics in this game a lot of people appreciate, but as you progress into the later stages around 6-8, the game becomes so unbearable with how items move it becomes impossible to progress. Even just flinging yourself under a table to avoid a monster can become atrocious. I could go on about how horrible the monster designs are, from the spider-man that can jump to high places (even though the only way to avoid it is to BE in high places), the knife lady hitting you through beds and tables, and many more game breaking things that completely ruin runs. Now some people would argue that this game is "early access", but it does not forgive the data mining trash and horrendous map design's that MANY other games have done significantly better.

Verdict: This game while it does have SOME aspects to it that Lethal Company doesn't, it is not even worth buying when both games are the same price and one provides way more options. Specifically with it's data mining issue, and late game issues. Lethal Company provides mods at the very least to make the game way more fun, and even then, vanilla LC is balanced and super fun to play. Don't bother with your time or money with this game, and shame on the devs for even trying to pull the data mining.

TLDR: Don't go into this game expecting it to be better than the original, it's a great remake with lots for the new fans of this franchise and also the people who have played the original.

A lot of people are gonna go into this expecting it to be better than the original. Which isn't the way to put this game. This remake pays a good amount of homage to the original, while still being it's own thing. Of course there are a good amount of aspects from the original that are hard to near impossible to replicate, but this game still manages to make a great re-creation /different approach of the original and Bloober team did a fantastic job with many aspects of the game. Main thing with this game is sound design and atmosphere, it's phenomenal and being locked in with the game is mesmerizing. Combat in this one is also satisfying and isn't complex, it's short and sweet and even just discovering a single bullet for a handgun is a nice feeling for the survival horror aspect to the game. Character wise, everyone did a amazing job. Only one I'm in the middle about is Eddie, though I think that's because I loved the goofiness of the original. Graphic wise this game looks great, there were a few frame rate issues for me, but it wasn't anything that was hindering my experience with the game. I also had a bug where during combat I got stuck on a table and couldn't get down from it, so I had to reload a checkpoint.

Overall this game is a great remake, is it a 10/10? No, at least not for me, but it's still a damn near perfect game.
9/10
