Easily one of my favourite games. This has come a long long way from it's initial release and some may question Paradox's strategy of constant paid DLC however I am thankful they continue to support and expand their games long after their release and long after most developers have moved on to other games.

The game has tonnes of variety to keep you coming back time after time and with constant updates it always has something new and fresh to find.

Whilst most Paradox games are notoriously difficult to get in to and understand the mechanics I would argue Stellaris is easier without sacrificing the complexity that makes it interesting.

The only real negative to the game is the mid game can be somewhat slow especially if you play on a larger map. That can make planet and resource management a bit of a slog but Paradox has put effort into fixing this over the years and the game certainly keep me coming back to it all these years later!
